Yangon, Myanmar (Burma) – tourist guide

Published by Darron Toy on

I'm doing this downtown walking tour single road is not easy here if you understand the gas now here you should it be prepared to climb stairs not a good idea to be arriving here drunk at night after all that climbing apheresis knuckle visitors only not for foreigners so go back down some $15 to stay here and pretty basic but reaching you right in the center of downtown to these old buildings this is what they said remnants of the old colonial and crumbling plenty of money changes and cash machines here you can change type art here no problem 1000 baht equals 30000 chat and thank you is she soon Tim bhakti Don the side streets are just incredible please be quite enough this one is Tiger I stun this one is I guess this one is not much my way of pavements along here Oh hello this one's spicy 500 chat okay yes please it's actually very tasty mixture beans and sweet corn and sort of pickly things and vegetables delicious I get some food here such things and it has crispy frog chicken amos this my anmar beer is delicious excellent taste great flavor Oh this is the wealth in hotel $36 a night it's pretty good isn't it right in the center but everywhere every other car seems to be a taxi and they're very cheap make you everywhere just a couple of dollars three dollars every other car is the taxi this is the interest through the reclining buddha pagoda short its @ke buddha and that means literally six storey Buddha originally they had one that was standing but it came crashing down one year so they built this one that's reclining it looks like he's looking right at me you think we could have come up with her it's a design of building two how they got all this scaffolding stuff everyone so many different places you can't see it properly hello good morning jisu tissu today she's making me a watercress that's really nice and over here is the old pavilion is a real relic of the British Empire can you speak English you can I just speak a much yeah okay yeah I'm its video I'm filming it video okay bye thank you see you tomorrow yeah yeah jelly jelly another exactly who know about money okay very good this one good there's obviously money for investment around the Roman building some impressive new buildings the Burmese script is very very loopy and curly this has got to be one of the most interesting things you can do here go on this circular train all the way around around girl it's incredible this train takes three hours Chizu and it costs only 200 chisel it comes ha Thanks three things forbidden how's look good have it I've got anti-sway they're gone I go the road again and this is the oldest road Yangon and obviously strict towards the Shwedagon pagoda so it's a good time to go and see it now it's not too hot it's nothing like the roads they've got now it's just such a dreadful road leading up to this pagoda it's absolutely no effort put into letting the tourists cross the road at all there is no opportunity to cross this road how many people ones get a fifth nothing he just could run into the road when the cars out the cast or $8 to get it's peaceful in the evening line apparently up at the top are diamonds and jewels I can't see it everything is coated in gone I'm not sure about all this gold and all the people are living in poverty is huge goes on forever Oh No classy what a demon Oh oh yeah I think I can safely say I'm abroad how old are you 71 71 you remember the English yeah yeah this is maja and aloo Road maja bandulu road and I'm heading towards the sule pagoda which is over there this is the High Court so British and this is the independence monument built in 1948 after the British at left Burma symbolically put right in front of City Hall the British Empire definitely left its market exactly what I had in Zanzibar sugar cane get in the tooth it's not many tourists here now but I imagine in another 10 years time they'll be lows it's very like parts of Liverpool or London cool got to keep the ball in the air using your head and your feet and your shoulders play this in Thailand and China as well it's a bit like normal very skillful

What a good video…
On my recent trip to Thailand, I was overwhelmed with how deep Buddhism runs there and apparently in neighboring countries like Burma. That was my first impression so many little shrines everywhere. One thing I would agree on from your video is that Burmese women are so beautiful. It would be so easy to fall in love with any one of them if you're single. The next best thing is the street food, with so much variety you can't go wrong getting a decent meal any time of day. With a little more time, I hope to visit Burma next.

Many negative comments here… they dont understand you can go there and help the poor. But if you are stupid you may help the wealthy and corrupt ones. Up to you!

What a rich history place- Yangon. British sucked all the wealth for over 100 years. Left people poor and hungry. After that the dictator made things worst. Nice to see the place is coming back with increasing tourism and hope local industry, agriculture will make this place wealthy again!
