Why does this one family get so much media attention when there are millions of other families like mine that went through far far worse abuse to the point of torture, but none knows or cares. I think it should no longer be used to feed and entertain the public.

What strikes me is how polite these kids are. Their father basically abused them, but both parents obviously have some sort of mental delusions, yet they seemed to be very understanding of it, and empathetic. I guess maybe their father was a paranoid schizophrenic, or just had a paranoid personality disorder. What's so strange is they only had movies to teach them emotions essentially because they had never witnessed 'normal' behaviour, yet came out so charismatic, full of depth and charming. If you watch the mother closely it's quite obvious she isn't really there. You see other kids that were in similar positions to them, and they are total sociopaths, or had to be taught to function normally. Yet this seems to come so innate to them, it's almost like they have emotional and general intelligence much superior to the average person to be able to realise something was wrong with their father, but not resent him. Cool and interesting kids, would of loved to be friends/work with them.

These boys are great

john horan · July 27, 2019 at 12:46 pm

You can see past their front. They act all day so why is how they’re acting on real camera so convincing? They’re timebombs. You can’t raise anything like that without some sort of backlash :/
