Hi I’m Helen Dolphin. I’m chair of a
regional Driving Mobility assessment centre I’m also an expert on the Blue Badge Scheme and I know a lot about accessible transport I’m here today in North East London because Driving Mobility needs your help with a project that they’re currently working on. Driving Mobility is a charity which accredits all the Driving Mobility assessment centres across the
UK They help disabled and elderly people to stay driving for as long as possible, and they also help people who’ve never driven before with things like adaptations But it’s not just driving that they do, they also give guidance and information on using public transport services, and also things like mobility
scooters and wheelchairs . Driving Mobility really want to know about the accessible transport provision in this area, namely Hackney, Newham and Tower Hamlets In order to find out the kind of provision that is here they’ve created a quick and simple online survey What they really want to find out is what provisions there already are but also what’s missing What do people need to enable them to get out and about today and enjoy the area in which they live To fill in this survey go to www.drivingmobility.org.uk and go to the top of the website where there’s a tab for The London Project here you will be able to find all the information you need. It shouldn’t take you long and it will give them all the information they need to help people with things like loneliness and isolation. So thank you ever so much for your time and thanks for watching.
