Terrible stoppage, should've let them race through it, ruined the whole tour.

Firsthgyhgyhuy Lastujhujhuj · July 29, 2019 at 8:27 am

So lame.

Rogier7305 · July 29, 2019 at 8:27 am

People from Colombia must be very proud on this Bernal kid. What a rider !! So young and so good, very nice to watch him ride. Greatings from Netherlands!

Magnus Påhlsson · July 29, 2019 at 8:27 am

This years highlights is so poor. You almost se the same riders after a bike in 10 secound and when a lot of talk after the race. Even the giro was better this year.

Dunc H · July 29, 2019 at 8:27 am

Farce, with racing ongoing , giving the times for a point that no-one knew was going to be the end was ludicrous . How many times do you see rides come back together on descents then change completely on final climbs.
Disgrace .

As a long time viewer of cycling on Eurosport, I wish the channel would pension off Carlton Kirby. His hysterical ramblings are a throwback to the almost as annoying David Duffield. Leave the commentary to professionals, such as Rob Hatch – with assistance of ex-pros like Sean Kelly, Brian Smith, Matt Stephens etc. Kirby's lack of knowledge of cycling, and understanding of the dynamics and tactics of racing, is glaringly apparent every time he opens his mouth, and his pathetic attempts to wax lyrical, with tenuous links to events on the road, is frankly excruciating. More and more often these days, I end up watching Le Tour on ITV4, for the far superior commentary of Ned Boulting, David Millar, Gary Imlach et al. I only wish the channel would cover the entire season, then I wouldn't be subjected to Kirby's drivel. Sorry for the rant, but for me the spectacle of this great event deserves the best possible presentation.

Best stage of my lifeeeeee

nomatesman · July 29, 2019 at 8:27 am

It's like watching a feature film with an incredibly complicated plot! What on earth happened? Was the stage cancelled? What are the GC standings? Increasingly I follow cycling less and less because of this sort of coverage….sad!

Salah-Eddine Aydaoui · July 29, 2019 at 8:27 am

This highlight basically doesn't cover any highlight of this stage..

Kees Jansma · July 29, 2019 at 8:27 am

Where is the attack, that broke Alaphilippe?

Moritz Tegers · July 29, 2019 at 8:27 am

Absolutely right decision to stop the race. Would have been extremely dangerous for the riders… get well soon tibaut Pinot!

Kees Jansma · July 29, 2019 at 8:27 am

I agree with the decision, but it had to be made before the end of the climb, because riders, such as Kruijswijk saved energy, for nothing now and lost a lot of time. There was already a lot of snow, before the climb even began, so it was a really late decision, thus an idiotic one.

Hoyoon Yuno · July 29, 2019 at 8:27 am

3:23 I really surprised.
