The Cartagena Travel Guide | Things to do, restaurants, bars, & beaches

Published by Darron Toy on

hey everyone it is Sarah and this week I'm here in tropical cards of Hannah and I'm going to show you the best things to do here but first let's get into those tips we got everything we need right here wine a burning chemistry you and me alone you and me alone inside pick up a know the city guide these are super helpful and they are free which makes them even better in these guides it gives you tips on Cartagena slang if you say tengo Guapo that means I have a hangover and guess what this city is a party city and you're probably gonna be using that thing a lot here they also give you tips on how to do 72 hours in Cartagena and Restaurant Bar suggestions but the best part I think is the tours they offer they offer several different experiences that I'm going to show in this video you can find them in hostels or hotels and if you can't find them there you can find them on their website which is linked below they have a downloadable PDF so no matter where you go bring one of these with you and you aren't ready take on at cart Bahama the number one thing to do here in Cartagena is visit the walled city inside you'll find tons of boutique shops restaurants bars and a whole lot more there's just so much history here it's worth spending one to two days the only negative is that it has gotten very touristy over the years which means there's a lot more tourist traps but I'll get into that in another video in the meantime take a day and spend it here you'll really enjoy it although Karsavina is more expensive than many there's still ways to experience this city for a low price or for free with beyond Columbia they actually offer free walking tours of the city one of the places you'll visit is right here which is a very historical place I'll link your information below so you can book that some of the most beautiful islands in the world and one of the trips you can do from Cartagena is to spend a night on a 50 foot catamaran and go to one of those islands it's just like paradise absolute paradise up here spending the night on a boat is something that I recommend everyone do because there are a few things as relaxing as waking up to the gentle sway of waves and coming upstairs to enjoy a swim in Caribbean waters where you'll find excellent coral reefs or snorkeling and underwater plane wreck and tons of wildlife such as dolphins and tropical fish my favorite restaurant that I went to while I was here is this one it's called ennopp Cena the rum box this is a rum house gastropub so they have a massive selection of different types of rums and actually when you come here for a meal you get a complimentary rum sample that is paired with chocolate it's very tasty and I highly recommend anything fish related here it's fantastic and really whenever you're in Cartagena I mean it's right by the sea so they have great set Chetty yes they have tons of restaurants that are seafood this place is just the top of the line located right around the corner of edit on Sena is a very special coffee shop called cafe then merav this place serves artisanal coffee in a beautiful environment that has tons of local art and you can also sit outside and enjoy the surrounding area which is colorful painted with giant mural I always have to find my craft cocktail bar in every city I go to and take a cocktail experience through know the city within this type of it's like kind of like a cocktail class tasting experience you get to try a bunch of their different homemade rum infused with different fruits and local ingredients and then learn how to make your favorite flavor that you taste it they have several floors here one of which is the rooftop and then you get to go to each floor and try a different custom-made cocktail I just really love how each floor of this place is a different experience and all of is moving and with the tour so with this pack a nice and I'll do at the next experience a great day trip from Carmody nice to come here to Ethan a photo where you can find flying blanca a beautiful Caribbean beach with the ultimate paradise settings there's gorgeous day beds there's food there is boating there's kayaking jet skiing you can even get massages here while you lay in your day but it also has a really unique bar that has something special inside from here so after you're laying your David you might want a cocktail you can order it from the daybed or you can come here to the bar which has a swing or you can enjoy on this side which has swings overlooking the ocean so of course I prefer this one and make sure that when you come here you bring cash because a lot of the vendors only take cash this bar of course takes credit cards but having casual enhance that experience because then you can get a massage while you're letting your day better you can have a coconut it's just a little bit off the grid you won't find a lot of ATM so it's the perfect way to spend your day in paradise well thanks for watching if you like this video remember to subscribe follow me on instagram at Sarah funky watch my other travel videos and by the way I have a whole one on MIDI which you can see right here I'll see you next time

Those boat charters are not cheap. I don’t know what the prices are like now but quite a few years ago I gifted it to my father and brother in law in the USVI and it was $700 for the day. Sounds nice though. Kudos on your skin care regimen as well.
