I almost got left behind on a school trip to the zoo. I wandered off in my typical curious fashion and nobody noticed until the bus was about to leave. Apparently, ONE teacher noticed. It was a blast roaming around the zoo all by myself.

Okay so for me, it was when we went to this historical gold mine place. Student btw

My class and another one were going underneath a cave tunnel, but me and a few other girls at the back of the line were separated with the rest when we went down the ladder. We thought “We’ll catch up to them.” But we didn’t. We walked all the way to the end. Through a waterfall. In the dark.

Also it turns out, when I thought we were all together, one of the girls was actually way behind us. One of the teachers managed to catch us halfway and I ended up crying. It was hilarious tho I got free food

When I was 10, my class went on a school trip with another class that was a year below us. We weren't allowed to bring drinks or food with us because our teacher didn't permit it while the other class was allowed since their teacher didn't mind. Since we were kids we asked if we could go play in the park beside the museum. The teachers gave in and let us play. It was really hot out and we were running around for maybe 30 minutes and we got extremely thirsty. The other class were so thirsty they drank all of their water and fizzy drinks so they were fine. We were so damn thirsty and I almost passed out from dehydration! A few of my classmates decided to do some ritual to summon some water god or something and the most annoying part was the teachers had water! And we had to walk back home, and when we got back I was luckily the only one who brought an extra bottle of water to school because my parentd told me to while everyone was still dying even though they finished their water. (We have premade lunches with water, 250ml). Thank you mom and dad from saving me from dehydration

One of my best friends went on a school trip to London (from Canada). His appendix burst while they were there. The school had to fly back while he was in surgery. Luckily the travel insurance flew his dad to England to stay with him and take him home. His family gave him a lot of grief that he couldn't just get caught drinking or something, he had to almost die.

Went on a forest hike. Four kids ages 10-11 per chaperone. My chaperone got "lost" and declared that to us. I knew how to get back, so I told her.
"No, that's not the way honey. I think it's this way," and proceeds to head in the opposite direction. Found a couple walking their dog on the excursion, asked them the way back. Lo and behold, it was the way I'd previously told the chaperone. Yeah, screw off lady; I had to eat lunch an hour late cause of you :')

My middle school takes an annual trip to Books-A-Million for the kids who met their first nine weeks AR goals.
This was my first year going, and I was ecstatic to go to one of my favorite stores.
We get there, and the group of maybe 40 kids rushes into this empty store. A long line immediately formed at the attached coffee shop the store had, while the kids who didn't want any drinks or food went to the Fandoms Unite section.

I was one of the kids who didn't want coffee, so I went towards a Harry Potter display. While I'm there, I see an eighth grader and his friends by a poster display. The posters are encased in glass for protection.

The guys are horsing around when suddenly, the eighth graders loses balance and gets flung into a shelf. Everything gets knocked down and the display posters shattered.
There's glass, board game pieces, and books everywhere, and I'm just stood there next to Butterbeer.

We had to call an ambulance and the trip got temporarily cancelled. Oof.

I'm not a teacher, but once on a school trip, like 3-4 class mates decided it would be funny to snort sherbet. One of them was sneezing and coughing out sherbet for like an 1 hour.

One time we were going to this history museum in Philadelphia. I and 2 kids were sitting in the back. The two kids sitting across from me. A big truck was driving right next to us, near the back. Then the truck came to close and the side mirror of the truck hit the bus window and cracked it until it almost broke. The girl how was sitting on the outside jumped up and the boy sitting exactly near the window put his hood on his head, went into fetal position and prepared to die. The teachers and kids didn’t even notice. We were shrieking and pointing at the window and the teachers noticed. The kid just sat there until the teacher came over and told him to get up. There was some tiny glass shards on him and the seat, THEN right as we were very close to the museum a girl started to puke all over the aisle. Thank fully no one got sprayed with vomit. The teacher gave her a UNUSED water bottle. We only got to stay there for a hour and had shitty lunch (the kids who packed lunch were lucky). I almost went on the news but I needed parent permission but my mom wasn’t there so ya that sucked. No one was allowed to sit in the back we got moved up one row. The window was covered in duct tape. Yeah that was by far the most interesting field trip I had.

One day I went on a field trip and after we finished swimming a kid got nude and not only did he fight the teachers fully nude but he said it was human anatomy. He had some trouble and I think he got expelled for assaulting a teacher

My worst school trip: half the class that went had drugs, I didn’t believe the story until I saw the majority of the girl’s bus with vapes and another kid had LSD. My teacher said this wasn’t the worst trip.
I also have questions so don’t ask-

Amelia Doi · May 30, 2019 at 8:45 am
