The vehicle reminded me of speeders from Star Wars. Not sure what future reality they were in.

SaleenDriver · July 6, 2018 at 2:43 am

Nice movie trailer, but as a story……not so much.

Mark Smith · July 6, 2018 at 7:08 pm

Embarrassing & cheesy. But good effort though.

JBTechCon · July 7, 2018 at 7:30 am

I must be weird because the DUST movies I like best get negative comments, and the ones that gave me just the right amount of info have all these "too many unanswered questions!" comments. But BTW, I love that DUST has posted so many shorties lately. Most of the +10min vids need editing badly.

VincentHoliday · July 7, 2018 at 10:19 am

im usually down with all of DUST shorts, but this one felt like we were thrown in the middle of a episode with no story to who those characters are,wtf is even happening…ughhh-so many questions….

Jetsonic · July 9, 2018 at 8:40 am

That vehicle is an aerodynamic travesty. What the hell is the story supposed to be?

EricH928 · July 15, 2018 at 9:56 pm

Best of all the ones I've watched. You can follow the plot with the sound off, and there's no filler.

SerpentInside · July 19, 2018 at 9:26 am

Not at standards with other dust videos. Sorry.

Bud Leiser · July 24, 2018 at 9:17 am

I know it's a short film but the moment he looks at the truck to decide to just leave or grab the stone again was too short, no feeling about him making a decision. Then thinking back most scenes were too short, hurried, and lacked weight. Others are saying it had bad acting, maybe their right but I dont think the scene had proper weight to deliver sad or conntemplation feelings. Happy and exciting things can be rushed, the speed matches the mood. Sad and hard things should drag a little, and match that kind of mood.

I like the twist at the end and am intrigued to see more but would have low expectations on story delivery. Great after effects and sound though, keep up the good work!

sup great stuff 🙂

LESSON: Do not mess up with time travel coz it might or will change everything.

Ansel XIong · July 28, 2018 at 12:16 pm

you guys have great potential to made a big movie! damn ,you guys amazing!

I don't see much point in watching this channel. Why don't you people finish your movies then post them? What's wrong with you? Do musicians put out half songs? Do you go out and buy an engine without a car? Bunch of overhype for a bunch of nothingburgers

DJ Kinney · August 3, 2018 at 4:11 pm

BEGINNING. MIDDLE. END. Part of filmmaking is story, not just Adobe After Effects.

Nice visuals but what…huh? Explanations…none?

Amateurish directing and acting. It's not vagueness but there is no plot. Cool CG.

MrTomson10 · January 12, 2019 at 6:17 pm

Sooo….. She wears a mini-skirt(or shorts, whatever) when testing a prototype craft??

Ethan Krauss · January 16, 2019 at 10:33 pm

This is a great one! It would be nice if it was longer though.
I am an inventor. My invention shown below is the closest thing to sci-fi, but it is real:

Chris Sparks · January 19, 2019 at 12:05 am

I like this one!

justin kelly · January 20, 2019 at 9:04 pm

Great video, the story seems great, but would realy need a sequel!

Kyle Johnson · January 24, 2019 at 12:22 pm

i gotta know what happens next

Rick Martin · January 30, 2019 at 11:00 pm

What's with the two moons at the end?

Roman Van Holdt · February 1, 2019 at 8:32 am

This needs to be a proper TV Series

don earl · February 4, 2019 at 3:47 am

Brian McNamara · February 7, 2019 at 12:33 am

This should be a full movie

Trek Fan · February 17, 2019 at 12:17 am

2 stars. Nothing good EVER comes from glowing stones, but in this case….This is great!!! Where can I get me one of those stones?

razziade · February 17, 2019 at 2:08 am

Here's what happened.  She went to future, was saved by rebels, joined them fighting some future police state.  Probably spent years in the future, and at some point, the craft she was flying was copied and used as a decoy and was sent back in time to her initial starting point in the past, only to be followed and destroyed.  I'm assuming the rebels won and they displayed the original craft as a monument to this victory.  She was "John Connors", but instead went into the future and saved it.

Welcome to 2019 – where a 4-minute film is better than the entire sum of Hollywood's BS for 2018.

Roland Lytle · March 3, 2019 at 5:49 pm

This could be used to produce a full length film or a TV series. I wish you had added a minute, or even 30 seconds, onto the end of this short to give a bit more info, but leaving it as is was frustrating and engaging. You left me wanting more. Well done!

towtruckfool · March 9, 2019 at 1:01 pm

Please make a full movie of this 🙏😁!!! I liked it much!!!

abinash kumar · March 10, 2019 at 9:43 am

Amazing concept❤️❤️👌👌

Who didn't understood this short video?

MrRegnaf · March 18, 2019 at 10:35 pm

Nice. Lets wait for the final version.

Simon Shawn · March 19, 2019 at 3:23 am

im sorry but dodge ram and antigravity time machine ship shouldn't exist in the same film. 1 guy invented this thing? That's like graham bell inventing an iphone over the weekend. You never get technological jumps in isolation.

prince sanat · March 23, 2019 at 12:31 pm

Make part 2

Chad Hinkley · April 4, 2019 at 5:59 pm

Beginning looks like a truck commercial

Brian D Howard · April 5, 2019 at 1:51 am

Any notice the over head driving shot was of a Chevy suv and they got out of a Dodge pickup truck..

WARFREAK Never stop playing · April 20, 2019 at 3:27 am

Why DUST you can build a movie on that one I love iy

Uncolored Man · April 26, 2019 at 3:59 pm

Ew. This was wack.

cobaltace62 · May 22, 2019 at 11:30 pm

Many of these, I think, are created to garner interest by a production company and are only snippets. Some have more story lines and are more complete than others. This one left too many questions but has potential.

Hamlet Fortinbras · May 29, 2019 at 10:49 pm

Thank you— open ended.

Ghost Dogg · June 7, 2019 at 12:17 am

Scene: Empty Desert: 10 mile visibility
-Truck races: Approaches tracks left behind where vehicle was. Man runs out of car to empty space…………… WHY.. He couldn't see through the windows she was gone?

Should have been
Scene: Empty Desert: 10 mile visibility
-Truck races to last known spot of Vehicle.

Camera (truck interior/close up of drivers face)
(Driver) Look of concern crosses mans face,
Camera (Exterior view of truck)

(Skids to a stop on Desert tracks, dust wafting across the truck)).

(Driver) Slowly exiting the vehicle scanning the empty desert in the direction of the tracks first.. then scans the empty desert.
Camera (Pan Left to right across desert)
(Drive) When Spotting the Vehicle he uses binoculars for a close up view………

Alex Works · June 17, 2019 at 1:07 am

Ummm… huh!?…🤨🧐🤔 Questioned the time travel thing blowing up (btw explosion wasn’t really directional in the direction of travel) and not the pursing ship or where it went and some random Alien dude pops in outta nowhere. Friends disappear to….? Great idea but kinda leaves actual story hanging on many fronts.

Titus Cato · June 18, 2019 at 4:44 am

How to explain your missing 3 friends to the authorities. Ummmm, well it's like this.

too baffling

Richard Emerson · June 29, 2019 at 8:19 pm

WTF was that?!? You do time travel – give me back the 4:23 I just wasted.

wes topher · July 5, 2019 at 9:02 pm

Did anyone else notice that the overhead shot of the CGI truck was a GMC Sierra but they were driving a Dodge Ram….

alterdestiny · July 6, 2019 at 4:19 am

Ok… next

My Name · July 6, 2019 at 8:33 pm

Cmoooon you can't stop this after 4 minutes!!! I need to know!

Leroy Anderson · July 7, 2019 at 12:48 am

Wow… That was excellent and loved how it ended, leaving it hanging like that. I just wish these were on the SyFy network. I would be watching.

Jim Patterson · July 12, 2019 at 7:21 pm

Great up to the point when it suddenly stopped…..

Terry Licia · July 14, 2019 at 6:29 am

Eduardo Salas · July 14, 2019 at 8:14 pm

I think I would’ve driven my truck to that pretty rock I was given; opened the door & then picked up the rock so my truck would go with me. But that’s just me.

Sssthpok · July 15, 2019 at 4:20 am

please STOP showing graphics of large planetary objects near by to a movie set on a base planet ….. gravity would smush all these together in an instant. Much as the visual is so 1950's sci fi pulp, its just stupid in this modern age…..

Angels vs Devil · July 15, 2019 at 6:15 am

A crap animator who did the CGI! Car animation too obvious 3d and Car mark is missing.

Aaron Curtis · July 15, 2019 at 1:43 pm

It's like a lame remake of a scene from Buckaroo Bonsai.

Michael M · July 15, 2019 at 9:43 pm

A speed machine named Rachel

Janet Deloach · July 16, 2019 at 12:10 am

Great treat in time travel but where is the rest of it? Need to answer a lot of questions.

Hmangaiha Pachuau · July 16, 2019 at 2:35 am

I like every movie from DUST .But many of them lack a strong story line. Seems like most of the resources are spent on CGI and VFX rather than the main story.

JND HD · July 16, 2019 at 7:46 am

Too short

rvnmedic1968 · July 16, 2019 at 1:56 pm

Great special effects, excellent video. I've watched a lot of Dust vids but wonder how many were continued on as full movies?

Oliver H · July 16, 2019 at 3:43 pm

Less of a short film than a teaser.

Doctor cringe · July 16, 2019 at 4:37 pm

obviously fooling with the temporal and gravitational subspace is not to be left up to kids playing in the garage – even discovery of the principles constitutes a threat – in fact it is the greatest threat because that is the person or organization least likely to know how to control it – it's like kids playing with nuclear triggers and high grade plutonium, except if they detonate their device it begins to unravel this Universe, allowing new constants to bleed in and God knows what else…

Paul hornet · July 17, 2019 at 9:56 pm

Bad script, acting and direction. Well done.

Alan C137 · July 18, 2019 at 1:05 am

What kind of team member steals the team project and just wings it? It starts from a dumb premise.
No support crew or equipment around. Did she throw on some cutoffs and drive the thing from some nearby city out into the salt flats by herself?

Philip Moran · July 22, 2019 at 10:12 am

Is this 'Back To The Future' with plot holes so big you could drive a fusion powered steam train through them?

FULLonARMOR · July 22, 2019 at 8:49 pm

It wasn't Rachel that came back it was him to try and warn himself about the future

Erich Barck · July 23, 2019 at 7:16 pm

Guess he got over Rachel pretty fast…

Alwyn Dellow · July 23, 2019 at 11:41 pm

I don't think time travel can happen. Different dimensions… maybe. But not go back to yesterday or forwards to tomorrow.

endorbr · July 24, 2019 at 9:18 pm

I question this guys ability to afford that pickup truck much less having the money to build a time traveling rocket car.
