What was the temperature there?

I've been a fan of Smarter Everyday for years and got here a while ago from the Falcon Heavy liftoff… binaural audio vids are the best; you captured NY subway perfectly. Never look at the maps however while in a station or on the subway; it marks you as a tourist. Just friendly advice for future visits 🙂

@Thesoundtraveller if you’re ever in London go on a Jubilee line train on the London Underground, the acceleration sound at the start is like a weird F1 acceleration sound.

Turkey Man · May 14, 2019 at 7:20 pm

Who else came here after watching sounds of the falcon heavy launch 🚀

Turkey Man · May 14, 2019 at 7:20 pm

This is amazing!

I am jealous now, you travel so many places man !
Btw, I enjoy every video you upload and I must say, this is one unique effort to bring real life experience to YouTube.
Looking forward to go into any one award show like Grammy or Oscar or inside the Kodak theatre.

I rode that system twice a day for 10 years. I hated it then. But now I really miss it. The press of humanity, the sounds, The weariness etched in many of the faces. Now I stare out the window at the frothing atlantic in winter on the rhode island coast. wondering whats next.. thats why I love this channel.. I can sample many places before commiting to a plane ticket. Awesome channel

This sound is GORGEOUS!
Unfortunately, the real sound inside a NYC subway is the exact OPPOSITE,

Israel Dmz · May 14, 2019 at 7:20 pm

Wow! This is amazing. This was an incredible experience! I watched on my theater on a 130” screen with headphones on and amazing

Charlie Fischer · May 14, 2019 at 7:20 pm

Man I love New York. People are saying how it's dirty and stuff but I don't care. That's what gives it character. Sure the London Tube may be cleaner and Japan's Subways may be more punctual but no Subway system in the world has more character than New Yorks.

I'm from Vegas so I've never taken a train but I'm planning a trip on the Amtrak this coming Spring. It'll be fun! BTW, if you're travelling in India, you don't let your wife walk away from you like that while you're waiting for a train. #JustSayin' ;^)

hale storm · May 14, 2019 at 7:20 pm

I feel like I keep making awkward eye contact with people in the video

Lukas Sanchez · May 14, 2019 at 7:20 pm

It's always great to see how non native New Yorkers react to the subway when they encounter it for the first time. Yes it may be confusing and smelly and cold, but once you get to know it and you know how to use it you feel more powerful than ever, being able to read the map as if it were a nursery rhyme.

Joca God · May 14, 2019 at 7:20 pm

Marcofwar 1 · May 14, 2019 at 7:20 pm

It amazes me 👨‍✈️ that the railways never put pop up & down bars 3 feet back from platforms to stop prams people etc falling onto train tracks in major POPULATED City Train 🚂Stations weird | | || || || || || || || | | | | | || | | || they could just disappear below the platform Once the🚂 train has arrived & stopped seen so many Prams- wheelchairs Drunks wonder off the platforms fall on tracks as trains r coming in OZ

Laura Sanchez · May 14, 2019 at 7:20 pm
