Living Cheap – Tiny NYC Hotel Tour ($30/night)!

Published by Darron Toy on

you know before moving in New York City and really even like visiting the city I had this like dream to see the big buildings the bright lights and like really just overall field in New York City vibe but when I started to look at the different hotel prices I I felt a little bit stuck I felt a little bit like it was a bit outside of my budget like let me walk you through like my booking talk calm experience like I went on the site I looked at all the hotels available I first pressed the three stars saw that the cheapest one was 150 then pressed the two stars so the cheapest one was like 130 one star was like a hundred and then I was just like oh no so today I'm gonna take you guys on a tour of a similar accommodation that I had when I first arrived in the city and in my opinion one of the best deals New York City has to offer this is the tiny hotel tour in New York City hi checking it okay awesome I can I can take this okay thank you okay so the first thing about this place is the bathroom as this is having your like own rooms set up here there's multiple bathrooms with showers and toilets and the bathroom it sells for $30 in New York City is not it's pretty good actually like you have a shower here that's like a full-length shower even a bathtub if you want to use a bathtub but if multiple guests are using the bathtub not too sure about that there you know a modern toilet here a sink here so for you know $30 a night hotel place in New York City this bathroom I'm gonna rate it I'm gonna rate it is like a average a little bit below average but for $30 who's complaining now the hallway leading to the room is also kind of an entity to note like look at just how small this hallway is okay now time for the main event the room oh my gosh okay guys welcome to the tiny hotel room this is a room that both has the length of my arms in width and in terms of like the the length here let me just let me like walk my feet out to see how many feet this actually is literally the length of this room is like five or six steps for me leg not the most in terms of the amenities in the room you know you have your just like basic twin bed you have like a fan right here a nice little like the only way you can describe this light is like a school light setup however unlike most like hostel or kind of these bed style rooms they do include a towel which when you're traveling around when you're on a tight budget it's pretty good to like have a towel provided and I can't believe I'm saying this but it's kind of nice to have like an under the bed space just to like put your bags or put like something else because this room is incredibly tiny no this room may be small but to be honest it's it's pretty cozy nor the bed the beds pretty comfortable the pillow is pretty comfy like the sheets themselves they're pretty clean like I don't see anything like an issue here or a problem with the cleanliness and when we're on the point of reviewing the entire metadata of the hotel let's check the most important thing the Wi-Fi yeah three Wi-Fi Mbps speed not the best not really even on the map for being okay you know like in I guess in like normal houses in the United States you're working at about like 15 to 20 and even at that it's not it's not the best Wi-Fi speed in the world like a good Wi-Fi speeds something between like anything like from 40 I would say to 60 and I'm not even gonna test the upload speed because like honestly you're not gonna be able to use the Wi-Fi here at 3 Mbps to upload anything to YouTube or really anything so if you do stay at this hotel or if you stayed a thirty dollar hotel in New York City it's looking like you're gonna be spending a lot of time at Starbucks but the most exciting thing about this hotel it's not the capsule room it's not the hallway it's not the price it's the location love I know we just met but a part of you is in part of me decide no it's more than just sex I'm like oh girl you're my ghost girl yeah you take away my breath and if I break your heart you break my heart in this so basically guys the location of this hotel is right in between Chinatown the Lower East Side and Soho making it an amazing place to stay if you want to like just walk around or bike around or just enjoy like the lower part of Manhattan here in New York City but anyway guys I hope this video showed you that you can travel in New York you can have an amazing experience you can have a unique experience at that like stay in a tiny hotel if you don't have like a huge budget I really enjoyed doing this video because I think it shows you guys that you can travel you can come to New York City you can come to the most expensive city in the world for hotels and you can still have an amazing experience and you can also have a unique experience I just love doing these like hotel tours and also like tiny apartment tours so if you want me to do this in a city that you want to live in or you want to travel to or maybe even your city comment below if you guys are looking for kind of a more like living situation in New York City I just did a tiny apartment tour which you can see here and anyway guys that tour is just so fun it's a beautiful day out in New York City so I'm just gonna walk around and enjoy this day in my shorts in February and I'll see you guys next time

The high ceiling makes it look much less claustrophobic than Tokyo capsule hotels

Joseph Carmine · July 30, 2019 at 1:50 pm

I would get so claustrophobic in there , I wouldn't even close the door

ViniByte · July 30, 2019 at 1:50 pm

so new york is overrated.

Thomas Fruge · July 30, 2019 at 1:50 pm

I gotta laugh at those that think this is affordable. I use to rent hotels that were bigger. Now your paying to live in the closet. Paying more and getting less is only good for the slumlord!

Rose Catherine · July 30, 2019 at 1:50 pm

I could live with it but NO window. Heck no.

Rocco McAllister · July 30, 2019 at 1:50 pm

30$ for that? Wow.

Hi! How did you book a room at this hotel? I try to figure out, but wherever I check it's more expensive than $30.

qihao liang · July 30, 2019 at 1:50 pm

Tracey Zheng · July 30, 2019 at 1:50 pm

I live in New York

James Forma · July 30, 2019 at 1:50 pm

I posted a video of my apartament which is 130 square foot if anyone wants to watch. It is a small hotel but I would stay there if the room does not get to hot in the summer because the only reason for a hotel is a place to sleep when visiting big cities

Tejas Sam official · July 30, 2019 at 1:50 pm
