KYOTO + NARA | Solo Traveling Japan

Published by Darron Toy on

hi I'm in Kyoto and Nara good morning everyone it is my first day in Kyoto and I am in Keown which is Kyoto's famous geisha district it's very traditional Japan I'll give you guys an outfit of the day here a stealthy outfit of today these are the Eberling wide leg trousers and they are so amazing and comfortable and stretchy and they're just the best in my shoes these little booties are from made well and they're like comfy but still cute there are a lot of couples in this area dressed in traditional kimonos and they're here to take three wedding photos I matheny Asaka shrine now and behind me there's this machine thing where people go up and ring the bell tossing the coin and then they clap vows and clap again and make a wish Kyoto definitely has a quieter feel in Tokyo if you haven't seen my Tokyo video yet that was my last travel vlog so I'll link that down below but it's a little more quaint not so many tall buildings I'm at the kiyomizu temple and it has this beautiful lookout which will remember this is an ancient Buddhist temple and it's also part of a unesco world heritage site here in Kyoto I woke up very early this morning I'm in the bamboo forest so today I'm at a place called Nara which is an easy day trip out of Kyoto I came because there are friendly deer everywhere it's actually a dream come true it's the largest Buddhist statue in Japan so today I'm at the fushimi inari shrine which is this iconic orange walkway that you've probably seen on Instagram it's so so beautiful there's supposed to be over 10,000 of these orange torii gates leading up the mountain I have had the best trip here in Japan like I expected it to be great that's why I came but it really is a beautiful country and the people are so nice and I have just had the best time if Japan isn't already on your list it definitely should be and I highly recommend it especially like the weather while I've been here has been perfect not too cold not too warm and especially if you're interested in solo travel I know a lot of you are ever since I started talking about it you said that you would like to go so traveling as well I haven't felt uncomfortable at all in Japan everyone has been so helpful when I've been lost in needed directions the country feels very safe and I've just really really enjoyed my experience here so I'm going to end this video here because I'm at the end of my trip I go home early in the morning I hope you guys have enjoyed coming along with me if you'd like to see some photos from my trip I'm sure I have a ton on my Instagram page by now so I will have that link down below and I'll see you guys next time bye

I really want to travel on my own to Japan but I am scared of how airports work more than going alone as I speak some Japanese and can read a good portion of the alphabets but airports scare the living daylights out of me. Glad you enjoyed it and really loved the videos!!! wanted them to be longer though 🙁 🙁

minipax · July 30, 2019 at 9:28 pm

I loved your video! I have been to Kyoto and it was the best place I have been to. I'm going back in July. Solo travelling is great!

RikyuMntRl · July 30, 2019 at 9:28 pm

Nice vlog, and for solo traveling I think Japan should be the first destination for people who are afraid of it : it's very safe, people will help you without asking them to, and it's not awkward to be alone there (you will see A LOT of people eating alone in restaurants etc).

Not a lot of info in your vlog so better get it right : biggest daibutsu is not this one, it's the one in Ushiku (120m). This one is only 15m ^^

ARickySuroso · July 30, 2019 at 9:28 pm

Hi im Ricky from Indonesia, a small time YouTuber was wondering Allison mind sharing with me by email or here is fine. What LUT do you use for your videos or im sure you color grade the footage. ^_^ the colours pop up so much its really good. I love you Japan clips i got heaps of mine also. Anyway keep uploading. Let me know about how you colour grade. ^_^

Victoria Jones · July 30, 2019 at 9:28 pm

Loving your solo travel vlogs, Ali! You are an inspiration to all of us to just GET OUT THERE now and stop putting our adventures on hold while waiting for others' plans to align with our own! By the way, loving the earrings with the bar/hoop combo in the last scene – where did you get them?!

Nicole Lui · July 30, 2019 at 9:28 pm

Perfs. Good pronunciation! 💯

Christopher Franklin · July 30, 2019 at 9:28 pm

I was in Japan back in March 2018. I too was a solo traveler. I was a bit nervous when I landed because my hotel was an hour away from Kansai airport. Once I figured out the rail system, everything was fine after that. Japan is a beautiful friendly country. I will be going back next year!!

Sarah · July 30, 2019 at 9:28 pm

Where is your next trip??

Dorota K · July 30, 2019 at 9:28 pm

Inspiring trip 🙂

MsAepfelchen · July 30, 2019 at 9:28 pm

allie1579 · July 30, 2019 at 9:28 pm
