FOREIGNER TRIES INDIAN FOOD: MANGOS | TRAVEL VLOG IV

Published by Darron Toy on

summer in India means superhot weather war monsoon rains but most importantly the arrival of mango season before I came to India I had never seen so many varieties of mangoes they all have different flavours and it definitely were sampling multiple varieties to taste the difference that's exactly what I'm doing today because I'll take any excuse to eat as many mangoes as I can more of my videos on foreigner travel in India are linked down in the description below if you'd like to see more videos in the future make sure to subscribe and hit the ball icon for notifications many people will tell you to avoid visiting India during the months of May and June because it gets super hot which is not entirely untrue I love the heat so for me it's okay actually but at the same time there's something very special that you can only find in these months I present to you super juicy crunchy sweet mangoes but I have never seen as many mango varieties as I've seen in India last year I kind of was overwhelmed I discovered this one variety of mango and I just kept buying that because I loved it so much but this year I was like nah I need to try more varieties and I'm so happy you guys are letting me do this so without further ado let's try some mangoes let's start over here on this side because this is the only like real yellow mango it is also the largest one of the bunch and I just need to smell it okay so it is quite a mouth smell obviously mango but it is not mango in your face it smells like mango let's try it I totally got to make a mess of myself because that's what you are actually also supposed to do when you're eating mangoes that's the only real way to eat mangoes mmm okay so this one is not too sweet it is like mouth Lee sweet mango my chin but that's okay it is very soft it is not crunchy it is not you know those threads that you can sometimes find the mangoes it is not there it's just creamy it's kind of like a pineapple mango oh oh and it's also a little bit fresh light like there's a little bit of a lemon zing in there YUM moving on to a little bit well it is actually an orange one this one looks like a no-phone so but it is not and the way you can see that is because the Alphonso is a lot more creamy than this one if you look very closely it does have a little bit of threads over here which is something that I know some people might not like I don't have that many issues with it but if I can avoid it I will huh hmm so this was a little bit more of a carrot e flavor I feel that's also very typical for a mango because the first time I ever tried mango in my life I was like this is a food but it tastes like carrot I don't understand and this kind of has that carrot II feel the threats are okay ish I have to say they are not like all over the plate huh oh it's so perfectly ripe oh my gosh it's literally dripping on my dress I'm supposed to wear this dress to an event later huh so it can make that much of a mess of myself this one is also a little bit fresh but not as fresh as the other one and the meat as you can see it's literally falling off of the skin I can just pick up a little cube let me show you see this this is a ripe mango my friend thank you because I wanted to do this two weeks ago and you guys who are like Nana and wait until the beginning of May they're going to be better and they are mmm that was such a yummy mango then we have one with a green skin but it is orange on the outside I have seen green mangoes before but then they're more like white light green on the inside super excited to try this one because it looks extremely creamy actually then try if I can do this with my hands oh it is so creamy mm-hmm Wow this one is so incredibly creamy wah-wah-wah I think they make like mango sauces with this one so I think this one is supposed to be more sweet but it's not it's extremely creamy but seriously extremely creamy extremely creamy so this one I feel is missing a little bit of the freshness of the other ones it is just sweet and creamy but in order to just be sweet I feel like it should be a little bit sweeter and it is not that it's not a ripe mango like look see this mango is right but maybe I could have waited like two more days because now it just feels like you know an avocado like literally a half a day before you should eat it that's how this mango tastes but it's extremely creamy and quite a surprise I have to say and then the final one so this one was in transportation and it got a little bit dent as you can see but it is the famous Alphonso mango from Mumbai yes that's right I didn't just buy them Bangalore it came over from Mumbai a friend of mine who is from Mumbai he got it sent by his family so he gave me one to try as well this one looks like the creamiest juiciest of all of them look at this the juice is literally dripping from the flesh that is insane I have to say everybody's always raving about Alphonso mangoes from Mumbai specifically so I am beyond excited to try this one okay I get why this is literally the mango flavor that you get in the mango juice that you buy in the store it is so sweet it is like the ultimate mango flavor oh okay you can see threads here and there but they are not there in the in the texture experience okay yeah I don't think I will be wearing this dress during the event later ah I think you need to leave me alone for a little bit with my iPhone so mango I told her gab wow this is so good mmm seriously if you don't mind too much heat you need to come to India during mango season because this is worth it trust me this is worth it I'm gonna rank them now Alfonso number one I didn't think I would like it this much because usually over height things are not worth the hype I like this one a lot second favorite I was actually this yellow one which I really really like it's super fresh it's very like fruity pineapple ish it doesn't have a pineapple flavor but it kind of reminds me like that it's very fresh and then this one the kind of Alfonso look-alike I really like that one as well and this one is number 4 the green one simply because I think this one could have been a little bit more ripe and a little bit more sweeter the flavor is a little bit off it's not balanced the other three are absolutely perfect now it's time to tell me what is your favorite mango let me know down in the comments below if you are Indian or if you have been to India during mango season because I need to try more mangoes my friends I hope you enjoyed this video I did make sure to put a thumbs up if you like this When i was a kid… one of my uncles used to give me a bucket full of water and mangoes to eat them and keep washing the hands at same time and there was another empty bucket to throw the peels… both used to finish the bucket… these variety is to suck out the pulp from the mango directly and squeeze it simultaneosly… i dont its name… but its loved most by children… super vlog … may you have thousand mangoes this sesson…😀😀thanks

2.try Rasalu (means juicy), the name itself suggests they are very juicy, rather than cutting it, people eat by applying little bit pressure on Mangoes, where inside pulp becomes juice, after that make small hole & suck the juice or peel the rind, eat it. Of course eating becomes messy. But it gives immense taste&joy. Two types in this, chinna(small) rasalu & pedda(big) rasalu. Happy mango season.

KISHAN SHARMA · May 14, 2019 at 11:49 am

For me Himsagar is the best

nag p · May 14, 2019 at 11:49 am

Pretty Lady in Yellow attire… Beautiful you and so are the mangoes

Spleandor · May 14, 2019 at 11:49 am

I love Daseri Mango 🙂

Aishwarya ravichandran · May 14, 2019 at 11:49 am

you expression shows how you enjoy eating mango…post eating mango have a glass of milk because mango give more heat to body also its summer… Eating extra mangoes can cause your stomach to bloat. This is because the pH of mango is acidic. To prevent thismilk or yogurt which is less acidicshould added to your diet.

eat lots of mango along with milk😊

jazmin diaz · May 14, 2019 at 11:49 am
