I bet you a cigarre that you will never return to live in the USA…😁

Stephen Langton · May 31, 2019 at 1:17 am

Hey folks… I agree with you..Antigua Guatemala and San Cristóbal de las Casas were among my favorite hangouts in Mesoamerica/Central America… also loved Oaxaca…glad you are looking out for your own safety… Just be aware that those Google map times of travel will be longer because of poor road conditions… I’m glad that you folks are staying in a quiet secure place… Always try to arrive when it’s still light outside… continue to have Mucho Fun!!!…hugs

How can I get in touch with the people at the orphanage? I would love to be able to go volunteer. Do you think it’s safe for a female to be there solo?!

Seastorm 1978 · May 31, 2019 at 1:17 am

I checked out the Japanese Coffee maker! LOL, I used to be able to buy it's American counterpart back in the '60s and '70s in 2nd hand shops. Very easily broken!!! But TH' BEST CUPPA CAWFEE EVVA! [Oops, my New England accent is busting out! HAHAHA] Seriously, though, those vacuum coffee pots are great!
Great Video. This vicarious life is AWESOME!

AhmaLyra · May 31, 2019 at 1:17 am

What a beautiful area! And thank you for the smile your vid put on my face today. Be safe! ❤️

buff barr · May 31, 2019 at 1:17 am

That area seems to be pretty serious about their coffees, looks fabulous!

Barbara Kirchner · May 31, 2019 at 1:17 am

I knew it was a bunch of hype about Guatemala City. Might not be the safest city but certainly safer than certain cities in the U.S. So glad you decided to go for it. I watched the video on that Japanese Coffee Maker….wow – what a process – would love to try it. I'm anxious to hear how you guys liked the coffee it makes. 🙂

Zanne · May 31, 2019 at 1:17 am

You ended up in such a beautiful place. So cool.

bruce stick · May 31, 2019 at 1:17 am

Ive been making coffee in a coffee syphon for years. Love the way it makes coffee, super smooth. It was invented in the 1800's. Google it, its history is interesting.

There are no more bad people left there they are all either over the USA border or at the border ripping us off and free loading off our country…. Nothing but good people left down there.

charliespace · May 31, 2019 at 1:17 am

Guatemala City is great… is like a little Mexico City. .. don't be afraid, just don't go to some areas and you will fine

Tiny Elliott · May 31, 2019 at 1:17 am

James King · May 31, 2019 at 1:17 am

Interesting trip. Oh the awesome coffees mmmmm 🙂

thomas · May 31, 2019 at 1:17 am

The logic is alway even safe till you got robbed, statistic really. The mays gang leader explanation was he just doing his share of collecting to passed upward to the prison members and said it’s a business tax. You gain something from Guatemala you have to pay dues, said he the inforcer. Gangs feel they own a territory. Same here if you see a name in you neighborhood abandoned lot wall. He marking his territory, stay out. same as dog do. If there break ins, he the guy or gang leader. That why neighborhoods watch cover the graffiti names, graffiti Art is diffrent ,expression

Derric Jacobson · May 31, 2019 at 1:17 am

It's amazing all of the scary information out there about different cities and then you guys go there and disprove all of those stories! 😀

Ace in the Goal · May 31, 2019 at 1:17 am
