Directors of Toughness | Ep. 14 – The Final Trip

Published by Darron Toy on

so the past six months have been one big great adventure traveling all over the world as a director of toughness with Columbia Sportswear we've been testing Columbia's products in harsh climates all around the globe and it has gone by so fast to me tested tough means always getting out there no matter what but at the same time you can't get out there and go for it without the good it's going to get you there we've had the opportunity to test gear in a multitude of different environments it's been raining it's been snowing it's been windy it's been beating Sun and you know what was awesome about the gear was that it didn't pulled us back from doing anything no matter where we were we always had something to get us through our adventures and you know all the products that we we're able to put to the test we're definitely testing tough big tough doesn't end do whenever I'm no longer a director of toughness what I hope we showed you is that we're not professionals we're not the best at any one sport we're just people who like to get outside and have a good time Zack and I have been experiencing things every day that I would never have imagined experiencing in a lifetime but all the places that we've gone are still there and all the things that we've done can still be done you don't have to be a director of toughness to go on trip for the weekend you don't have to be a director of toughness to go climb a mountain you know I would just encourage everyone to get outside as much as possible and not let the weather hold you back the experiences that you'll have and that we've been able to have over these past six months have been irreplaceable every adventure has multiple perspectives and multiple experiences so it's fun whenever you reflect on memories to be able to laugh about what everyone went through knowing that you went through it together in the past six months I've learned that you can be tough any day anytime anywhere and you don't have anyone to prove it to you except for yourself you

If you vocation keeps you perpetually separated from nature, I don't care how much you're making – you're poorer for it.

Its like if you live in New York and have never visited the Statue of Liberty or gone camping up-state – and its right outside your door! Wherever you live, PLEASE take some time and camp or hike or canoe or whatever. Just do it, tomorrow may never come =3

Would have been fun post-college and pre-career!
