Destiny – Secrets of the Traveler: Savior or Necromancer?

How’s it going Gamers?! It was only last monday I uploaded the Secrets
of the Tricorn video, and already, Killworthy Gaming has over 1000 subscribers and almost
30,000 views. I love to see this community participate in the Destiny Speculation, because
that is what this channel is about. Who cares how far out your theory is?! I’m sure half
of my claims will be proven wrong on septmeber 9th! but that’s not what this is about.
This is about diving into the juicy core of what Destiny has to offer. Join the conversation

Traveler’s intentions in the Bungie forums, which exploded with theories and speculation.
Can I tell you how fun it was to read through them. You guys are seriously amazing. Keep
it up. So why do we care about the Traveler’s intentions?
Cody Jones says, “Bungie is really keeping on the hush-hush when it comes to the Traveler…It
must be a pretty important aspect later on in the story line.” Yup. Pretty important. So we’re gonna dissect
it until we’ve come up with every explanation possible. If you’ve been to the forum, you know that
I’ve been working on my “super fancy” Traveler Intention algorithm. What this does,
is it lets us logically explore what the traveler is and why it appears to have helped us. Many
of you have taken the poll about what you think and I’ll go over the results in a
few minutes at the end of the video. Let’s take a look First tier Organic or Built. Now this is an interesting argument, because
a lot of concept art and in-game footage definitely hints at the traveler having some kind of
structure on its damaged underbelly. But architectural features doesn’t immediately rule out the
organic option. Brian Vore’s Gameinformer article points out how the Vex are part machine,
part creature. So we see that the Traveller, though it seems machine-like in nature, can
also be part creature, meaning it could have grown and evolved, and there could be more
like it. We’ll come back to the organic route later,
because that’s what I’m rooting for. If the Traveler is a construct, then it’s
either being driven, or it’s self aware and driving itself. If it’s self aware,
making it an Artificial Intelligence, then we need to ask, “Well, does it act with
emotion? Is the thing Sapient?” If it has no emotion, then we are looking at little
more motive than self preservation. But if it does have emotion, then we see it’s either
surviving and is capable of betrayal, or it’s helping and acting out of love. Oh, Killworthy. You forgot that the Traveler
sacrificed itself to save us. If it was acting to only survive and didn’t care about us,
then why did it give us it’s light, create the ghosts in its dying breath, and why is
it still protecting the last safe city on earth? I’m glad you asked. There is absolutely
nothing we’ve been told about the Traveler proving that all of the aforementioned acts
were to HELP us. If it is on self preservation mode, and it’s being chased by armies of
the darkness, wouldn’t it need to breed an army to defend itself. How do we know we
aren’t simply mercenaries for this little globe, and the Traveler simply helped us create
effective outposts on other planets to watch for oncoming enemies. And don’t forget.
We don’t have a timeline of the collapse. I think a common misunderstanding might be
that the Traveler came and saved the last safe city on earth. But listen to this, “In
our darkest days, Humans, Exos, and Awoken found the Traveler where it made its last
stand, low above Earth, silent and immobile. We built this City – our last – within
its protective Shield.” It’s a little strange that the Traveler seems to not have
been around anyone when it made its last stand against the darkness. We had to find it and
build the last safe city afterward. You’d think the Traveler would be making its last
stand defending humans if it loved us, right? Now, does this prove the Traveler doesn’t
care about us. Not at all. Maybe it was drawing away the last attack, making sure it didn’t
hurt anyone when it when all Electrode Self Destruct on us. Who knows. Valid theories
either way, and both explain whether its acting to survive or acting out of love for humanity. So what if this is a construct being driven
by something? Well, it’s easy to see that the intentions of the pilot or pilots could
very well be either noble, selfish, or simply survivalist. Remember, there’s nothing in
what we’ve been told about the collapse and the Traveler that proves that its actions
were to help us or to to preserve itself. Now the Organic route. this opens up a brave new world of possibilities,
and I’d love to hear what you have to say on the matter. To keep it simple: if the Traveler is a creature
in and of itself, then we need to ask if it’s sapient, like humans, or just sentient, acting
solely on instinct. If it’s acting solely on instinct, then it doesn’t care what happens
to us. It bred an army under self preservation and simply wants to survive; similar to being
a self aware, emotionless AI. Now this next possibility, for some reason,
is the scariest one to me. What if the Traveler is a creature with emotion, and ultimately
acts to survive. We’ve seen it’s Godlike power, and we know what it can do. Is it jumping
from race to race, destroying them out of self preservation? It’s the scariest because
its a theme that comments on the human condition. the entire story would be about betrayal,
and that could be painful. I’m scared of this one, because It would
mean that the nature of the traveler wasn’t what I’d hoped it to be, and that is, I
hope the traveler came to save us, and that it’s last act was a beautiful sacrifice
to save mankind. Sound familiar? How intense is that notion? So killworthy?! Why on earth did we just go
over all of these possibilities when you just summed up what we all think about the traveler
anyway? Oddly enough, that majority who have given
thought to this story don’t seem to think that the traveler is a lifeform that here
strictly to give us gifts and help us survive the Darkness. Here’s the poll results as of August 27th
2014 Out of nearly 550 votes that large majority
felt like the Traveler was a sentient creature that only acted to survive. Interesting since,
the game is constantly telling us that is gave its life for and and that it loves us.
So what is it that makes you doubt? or What is it that makes you so sure the traveler

there is a lot similar things within destiny and the film Fifth element if you have seen it like the cabel look like the aliens that come to earth and the nasty aliens look like the fallen and there is a traveller type organism that's heading for earth but to consume it maybe the traveller was gunna consume earth but the fallen and hive and cabel stopped it because it destroyed there planets and that's why there searching the earth to finding the secrets to destroying for once and for all so we the humans could have got it all wroung and put our selves into a war we don't understand please tell me wot you think

I feel that the traveler Is the most intelligent being (yes its living). The traveler uses it intelligence to deceive humans exos and awoken to do preserve its self. In its during breath it does not give light but exchange it for protection. The supposed darkness was deceived and now acts upon revenge and hatred due to the traveler corrupting and cursing them for example the cabal now filled with ugliness, the fallen with division, the hive with slavery to the darkness, and vex with eternal aimlessness.

I'm watching all these videos on a loop, and I just had a thought about the hive video that I watched a few mins ago. I think the hive do have the power to infect, and also that the thrall and acolytes are fallen, but I think that knights and ogres were always zombie like. Think about it, if thrall and acolytes were originally fallen, it would make sense that they are the lower ranks. I think that there is a god like hive mind (darkness below dlc?) and that creates the ogres and knights. Those travelling around the universe, infecting the easiest life form it can, which in my experience if playing the game is fallen (c'mon they're like the only level 1s) and this is how the thrall and acolytes are born, or at least the original ones.

I actually think that the Traveler is the darkness and so is the Speaker.
My final conclusion about him, is that The black garden is inside the Traveler, and its a Vex machine, therefore, there are millions of Travelers, and thats how Vex destroy planets (just like our ghost say they did with Mercury). The fallen are just a race from a different planet that are against the Traveler (maybe a Traveler destroyed their planet?) and the Hive are creatures from Darkness, just like the Vex.
I would love to see a plot twist like this in the DLC, where Guardians find their true origin, and ally with the Queen of the Reef to destroy the Traveler and the Darkness.

I'm thinking that the vex have a link to the traveler as they are linked to one mind and they see the all. The same things as each other which may mean that the traveler may have an evil counter part something that is making the traveler not heal as it's supposed to as you know Mercury is all the vex's and that the evil counter part of the traveler is seeking refuge there to gain the forces to break the last cities front lines and eventually kill the traveler

I think it is a sapient construct who was damaged by the darkness and chose to take shelter on Earth because it knew humanity wouldn't try to destroy it. That being said, I think the traveler only came here to escape the darkness but could also be here to help humanity.

the travler its actually a human that won poweres cause of being on space just like the guardians soo he is a powerful force of the good that made its almost final sacrefice to save mankind he is a good one dont worry and about the darkness well… the darknes like its said on the video huunted him for neons acroos the space thats was cause he was making good things on space and destroying the fallen and vex and cabal and the hive then they all came after him …………………… thats my opinion thnax for the information

i can't stand the whole "savior" idea, i'd prefer the notion that this universe is chaos and every attempt to change that gets utterly crushed yet due to the laws of chaos, mankind facing sure destruction has survived and used what it could to stay alive.

What if the traveler was the darkness? And the Hive, Fallen, Vex, and Cabal were from planets the traveler attacked? I say this because what are the odds that 4 evil races all decide to just attack the human race? It wasn't coordinated be all of them because they fight each other and clearly hate one another. So either we are some EPICLY unlucky MFers or they are chasing the traveler to make him pay for attacking them. And the traveler tricked us into believing he's the good one and to make his story believable he sacrificed himself. now we are blindly following an evil robocreature. Dun Dun DUUNNNN!!!!!! If only we could just talk to the aliens.

when xur comes and you stand by him for a while he might say "your traveler has a dark mirror to him". Based of that line I think the traveler is actually evil and xur is and secret "Agent" from the future to secretly warn us about the traveler and gear us up. that's why he isn't always there and that's why he sells awesome stuff. now if this is true does that mean the vanguards and others are being tricked or are in on the evil plan?

I believe that the Traveler is an AI life ship of another race consumed by the darkness. The minds of the remnants of this hypothetical race could highly likely be controlling the Traveler telepathically while in a hyper sleep, waiting for the right time to be awaken.

I think the traveller is an ai created by an alien race designed to spread there knowledge throughout the universe so that at least this species legacy would. Live on, the other alien races were in a war with the alien race that created the traveller and the darkness is a technology created by the alien species which is so powerful it seems godlike, same
As with the traveller, when the alien races found us they saw the traveller helping us and thought we were the predecessors of that species and so worked to destroy us, that would support the theory that the traveller takes races under
It's wing in hopes of raising an army to fight its ancient enemies before moving on to the next race if the one previous failed, that seems more logical to me because everything the traveller creates is a machine so it must only know one way to exist mechanically

What if the Traveler was part of a larger group of constructs that we may know as the Darkness, and it defected from them. It fled to our Solar System because mankind did not have the capabilities to reach out to other sentient extraterrestrials, hence they are isolated. What if the anomaly Rasputin detected before the Darkness' arrival was what drew its attention to our System and eventually discover the Traveler's hiding place? Or what if Rasputin invited it over either intentionally or unintentionally? I don't trust Rasputin too much. If the Warminds were all destroyed in the collapse, how did Rasputin survive? He was discovered and rediscovered by the protagonist when the Fallen were trying to access him. I haven't checked the origins of the enemies in the other videos.

When I looked at Destinywiki and the moires of the dead ghosts, the Fallen didn't worship the Darkness, but respected it because they couldn't claim it, YET. The Fallen's presence on Earth and Venus indicate the Fallen are trying to gather everything related to the Traveler, because it may have a key to conquering the Darkness because the Traveler was once one and the same with them till its defection.

The Cabal are probably only on Mars because they had probably been running from the Darkness too, and went to Mars to use humanity's research into the Traveler as a means to hide, or even yet, FIGHT it! I think it would be cool if in future releases, some Cabal races, (not the ones you fight currently, maybe outcasts) would join up with Humanity to fight the Darkness and the imperialistic command of the main Cabal. If this was to happen, I know for sure the Traveler is not evil, but is acting to give helpless races a means to defend against a far greater force.

If the Traveler was acting in self-defense, I think it was probably its first intention, it searched Jupiter, than Venus, and Mercury, but when it got to Mars, that's when humanity made contact. Then I would think it watched over Earth like children, till the anomaly happened. When I asked why did Rasputin survived, he probably would've defended the Earth successfully. But if it had a role in the Darkness' arrival, there are two things I can think of how. Either he changed loyalty because it understood the Traveler was once one of the darkness, and feels IT is the traitor, hence why he resists Ghost's attempts to access files he's watching. Or something, or someone that caused the anomaly, changed his programming and disabled Rasputin's defense protocols…

@tgjaedan You might have improved my theory. Maybe in the future, the forces of Darkness are attacking humanity (future after the current Destiny) but Humanity is still defeating them but Humanity knows that they won't last forever. So, they create the Traveler. And then send it back into the past when the dark forces actually start the invasion.So that Humanity can be protected from the Dark Forces' invasion ASAP

IF you understood what the suppose "darkness" they call you the darkness which was the original plot twist

On one of the cards it says the traveler did cause the collapse but we do not yet fully understand why. Leaving it at good or evil I'd say it's a vex machine built to manipulate species into killing off its current enemy and giving it enough strength to destroy the people protecting it creating a new enemy for itself. The hive I believe are an ancient enemy of the traveler. And the cabal were smart enough to realize what the travelers plan is. Also it's called the traveler for a reason does it just travel the stars helping people? No I think we can all see that this traveler has a plan to destroy everything

I feel the Traveler is more a fleeing god searching for means of survival. I think that if it was here to help Guardians than it would have taken us away from where the darkness found us. Destiny never says anything about the Traveler telling us the Darkness is coming. Maybe it just took a gamble giving us it's light for us to fight off the darkness only take away this light after.

After watching this, it might look like its of Vex Origin, more specifically, the counterpart to the Heart in the Black Garden.
They talk about the golden age where the traveler brought life and homes to many planets, and as you see in the last mission, The Heart can give life too.

My best theory is that after what the Vex did to Mercury, the Traveler got upset and left them, realizing their true evil (and most likely the Stranger works for the Traveler – reason being its not made of light because the stranger was Vex recruited by the Traveler, and the Traveler maybe got its light after leaving).

I love how the Traveler has some sort of Jesus Christ aspects to it. I mean the concept of a great being who would do sacrifice for the love of its creation. However, I really really think there is more to this.

In my opinion maybe the traveler is the darkness in disguise.
Maybe the traveler was here before guardians were born from light
maybe all of the enemies we faced were all normal humans like us until the traveler exposed darkness to them making them fallen. And the fallen were attracted to darkness mutating them into hive and cabal. maybe the vex are the travelers army of darkness like the stranger said on Venus ''Evil so dark it despises other evil'' And maybe exo's are vex born in light ?
And the awoken queen, Maybe her people saw what the traveler did and how it is the darkness so they decided to stay between light and darkness. maybe the new dlc would explain why her fallen guards betrayed her.

I vote the Traveler is a somewhat living machine created with its own sentience that was made/just a synthetic predator to stop the Vex from total domination over existence. It uses sentient life capable of surviving and assists them with Ghosts to do its work since it's pretty much dead and now just a VERY PURDY decoration over a city of survivalists/soldiers. Now, for the part that I said that it was made, I like stories that have a godly thing that was actually created by something even more powerful to stop an incredible enemy that brought so much destruction, fire, and darkness that it had to be stopped. Who created, I 'unno. Time travel is a thing in Destiny, so maybe some humans, Awoken, and Exo decided "hey, Vex is gonna get us rekt, wanna stop this somehow?" and created that purdy dead ball, the Traveler. Onto the part of being a predator, humans have no idea why we're here and why we care about this evil thing called nature that forces us to eat other life like trees, animals, and a few other things, but we're wired to do it, so we do it. Maybe this Traveler just popped up as a miracle like us and it's there to be a predator against the Vex and feed off of their abilities or is at least just naturally there to stop them through whatever means necessary, even if it means creating armies of Dinklebots and then possessing/taking over those who wield its power. ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL. If you read this whole thing, I love you and you deserve to be hugged.

i really hope the traveler and the speaker are evil… i first thought of it when i played the mission the chamber of night on the moon after the dlc launched… reason being is because i thought the shard of the traveler and the shard crotas soul was in seemed really similar… that led me to pondering why the rest of the story was so vague and why they didnt explain much of what happened at all during the story… only that the traveler had many enemies and you had to go kill shit cause it was "supposedly" evil, which we have no idea why its evil… also, the fact that bungie produced the halo games which had a fucking amazing story, seems odd that they come up with this game which is so vague in explaining much of anything… i feel the guardians are created to wipe out the travelors enemies then when the second game comes out… BOOM! PLOT TWIST! the traveler fucks the guardians over and then we have to fight whatever it conjures out of its magical ass… if this doesnt happen im gonna be very disappointed overall with bungie

If the traveler is bad… Than are the ghosts bad to? Or are the ghosts going to be betrayed in the future like the guardians? Though the main action was to help the traveler… The ghosts did seem to care about the player at times. If the traveler brought the darkness, then why are the ghosts and the guardians trying to fight it? So i guess either the ghosts will be betrayed with the guardians or the traveler is good…

Everybody is saying that the Black Garden is in the Traveler but it can't be I mean that giant expanse in the black garden is too big for the Traveler size. So I think that the black garden is in Mercury I mean the Black garden is all machine like and that is what mercury is and if the Vex are trying to defeat us. It won't be so hard cos the Traveler is in the CITY so why aren't the vex attacking us if it is in the Traveler. And why is the speaker the only one who can speak with the Traveler I mean he's only a man he is a man it's in the grim ore card. And people are saying that the Traveler is the darkness. Why is that. If that is true what is the darkness than. I think that there are more than one Traveler that are trying to make a army (The Guardians) to fight the Darkness

My Destiny Theory:
The human race was savaged by a great force, dwindling their survivors to a very few. The survivors through the help of the speaker saw the traveler as their savior. The speaker told them that The Fallen, Cabal and Vex was the traveler's enemy and the traveler needed the humans to be its guardians for it was to week to protect itself. i think it was the traveler that destroyed the humans and spawned what we new as the darkness so that it could say it was the protector. this made me believe the traveler is not the Savior but The Darkness itself. In the game when u fight the fallen white light will come out of their head and they will sometimes well out "The Darkness". The vex also have white light in their chest, witch is their crit spots. i believe it is their crit spot because with the help of our ghost our weapons power with darkness so is effective against their light. i truly believe the traveler is an egg holding the true darkness waiting for its chance to strike. And we by the effects of necromancy are its army of true darkness.

Toland the shattered believes that the hive are the last evolution a race goes through, where they weave their entire species into the so g of death and become eternally rotting but never dead. The traveller however is I think genuinely a light, but ever torch casts it's shadows and the light draws in the darkness that slowly closes in and devours all things the torch touches

I think the traveller is the black garden its hinted so much trough out the game "everyone knows whaere it is" yes because its a big floating ball. Also on the black garden mission you will notice the ground is curved like the inside of a giant ball, if my theory is correct this would ecplain the black parts you can see on the traveller when looked upon from the tower. Another hint to this is that in one of the missions the hive have a part of the traveller.

I think the speaker and traveler are working together to manipulate us guardians into destroying the other races for them so they can destroy us and then move on to the next because we are week from the collapse. That would make a good destiny two where you had to face the traveler in an ultimate battle. Also the fallen, hive, vex and cabal could be trying to destroy you and your ghost so the tracker has no army to try to invade other universes! Very nice video I really enjoy these types of videos!

I think That the Traveler might be the Darkness itself….. think about it the Stranger from Venus seemed to Talk ALOT about Evil or Darkness, I feel like she knows something but shes hiding it….. What might be true is based on the Agent of the Nines Theory The Stranger is known to be one of the nine, and they are known as the first awokens right? xur was stuck in darkness and it was why he had a seemingly weird look….. its possible that what the Stranger was trying to show us that the Traveler itself is evil, during a mission from Venus after wiping out the Vex she comes out and Steps on its Head which clearly shows that she has something about the Vex that shes mad about, its possible that these Ves are created by the Traveler as we see the lower part of the planet had a mechanical sort of creation inside it which can mean that the Traveler build alot ofmthings….. the traveler built the Ghosts and how is it that the Ghosts are nice of the Traveler is evil, its possible that he might have a plan of taking over earth and by that he created the ghosts to manipulate guardians….. and maybe insdie those creations within the planet is something hiding whithin that might be a nightmare for everyone….. the Vex is a very weird race they are all Robots which means they were created, but by Who?

and my guess is The Traveler…. notice how even the Speaker speaks about the Traveler but his voice sounds alot like a Robot… which could mean that he was created by Tje Traveler to manipulate the Guardians ever more so and notice how Xur itself is not happy about the Traveler nor the Speaker

Xur had a quote saying soemthing like " The Traveler is Evil….." or like "Behind the Traveler is darkness that surrounds" something like this is what Xur always tells me when he comes over….

if Xur was one of the Nines and that he lived years before then for sure he knows alot about the Traveler…..my speculations is that The Traveler Really is evil and that what xur is trying to do is not only sell items and weaponaries but to Save us from the Travelers Darkness…. I think that what he is trying to do is save us from getting corrupted by the Traveler or The Speaker…… the characters itself connects the lore about the Traveler and notice how the Awokens from the reef stayed between light and Darkness, its possible they know alot about the Darkness that they dont like( example the traveler) and about the Light which they know off about being something evil ( which example is the Speaker) its possible that alot of these knows about the true identity of The Traveler

I hope bungie creates a DLC that tells us about the real identity of the traveler and that it hovers us to see the war during the time of Xûr…..

its impossible that this might not be true cause with all the quotes and connectings I did I know for sure that The Traveler is hiding something the The People does not like it

notice how EVERY almost every single person in the Tower are Robots? the Vanguard the different factions and such…. its possible they were only created and why they kept hiding their faces from the Guardians….

its possible that the Traveler is using the Guardians to tke over The planets or to eliminate those that stands on his way…. and sooner or later he might be planning on killing the guardians itself.

and its also a possibility that xur might be selling exotic items SECRETLY to help us fight the Darkness and the Traveler itslef

he know about the secrets of the Traveler so he is trying to stop us from getting corrupted and gift us the Weapons and Armors to make us stronger and ready for whatever comes before us….. Xur answers the question if Traveler is evil or not? and I think Yes, the Traveler is Evil or either Corrupted by the Darkness whithin.

also why does Xur come Once a week? its possible that he is not being allowed to sell these items so he sneaks in secretly and sells them to guardians ….

if he didnt like anything he could simply sell freely but no He chooses not to…

so I know for a fact that Xur brings us no harm but to save us from the Darkness that Surrounds the Tower itself….. its possible that There is NO safe place on earth or any other planet…, they are all simply corrupted by Darkness and are places filled with Lies and is a possibly a reason why The Awokens chose to stay on the Reef between Lght and Darkness cause there is NO place left thats safe to stay on….

remember how the stranger told us "you might be fighting for the wrong side" and bybwrong it might mean that perhaps the Traveler is Darkness itself and that the Fallen is the True light and not us the Guardians….. why? were called guardians.. of what? darkness….. were defending the darkness because the traveler is manipulating us and the traveler is trying to use us to eliminate every light, plus notice how the Fallen ALWAYS Invade other races that are pure evil…… there was a mission where we see the Fallen attacking the placemright? its really possible that the Fallens ARE the light and that theyre stopping every Darkness including The Traveler….. and its why they seem to be a Race that other evil like the Cabals hate…. its like were all against the Fallen but I have a wuestion

why are they called the Fallen?

the answer is that they were Fallen Guardians forged to darkness….. it means that they were once TRUE light guardians but then corrupted by the Traveler and now they were changed to the way they look now and is trying to rebel against the Traveler to stop it from corrupting kore but somce they cannot speak they cannot show us the true Darkness…. they just stop us with the Traveler itself and not save us from corruption….. it all connects to the Traveler being corrupted or Evil….

If the traveler is the darkness, than the guardians would be too, guardians were made from the traveler's light to protect the traveler, which is protecting humanity. If the traveler was from the darkness, than your ghost would be too. Plus, the ghost thought of the black garden as a legend, so that might make the, "black garden is in the traveler," theory obsolete, unless the traveler is trying to lure the darkness to earth so they could all be destroyed… Which totally just made a new theory for me, godàmn it. So what if that was true and the darkness has just been chasing the traveler, which has made the darkness mad, and chased it???

I have my own theories on the traveler.
1. They could be just like the reapers from Mass Effect. It allows life to advance down the path that it created, to make sure that any species cant evolve enough to destroy it. The darkness could be the traveler's thrall that eradicates the species once their done with them and the species that have survived are the Fallen. The traveler is using us to kill what it couldn't and will destroy us in the end.
2. The travelers become the darkness. The black stuff on the bottom of the traveler is it slowly changing into the darkness and its helping us advance so we can finally defeat the darkness and soon itself. The fallen probably know that its species is the darkness and is trying to get revenge for the darkness destroying their race.

can you pls make a video about the last town on earth? i mean, we never see anyone or ANYTHING from the city, we can only see the lights, i read about a theory that sais that the traveler is evil and the guardians are his new army. he is manipulating us. as an example: Titans, in greek mythology, evil beings. Warlock, in old-english wǽrloga, meaning traitor. and the hunter, his name itselfs claims that he is hunting. he is not defending or protecting anything, he is hunting enemys.

I think that there is no light or darkness just to sides In a unlimite hunger games match when each side has to fight but not the races on the side of the light or darkness. So for example every race that is evil or bad in mythology are on one side such as gardians, vex and fallen and every race that is good in mythology are on one side such as have and cabol.

so im sitting here watching this video and watching the Traveler in game well its currently night time and i can see lights moving to and from the traveler what are these lights could they be more ghost? but the lights are too big to be ghost so could they be planes? and if so what are they doing up with the traveler? did the speaker send people to rebuild it or is it AI that the Traveler had programmed to do this big project while the Traveler is in Stasis mode/lock?

If you think about it, the Traveler has a dark story behind it, if you read the grimoire cards. When people do say that the Traveler sacrificed itself to save us, how would they know what the Travelers true intention was?

I believe the Traveler did what it did, to make us think it was on our side, so we can fight his enemies. I also believe that's why it made the ghost, because it needed an army, to fight his enemies.

cant remember exactly where i heard this, but what if the Warmind rasputin is the one who made the traveler stay here, after all its main function was to notify humans of coming threats and potentially protect humans from that threat. so what if rasputin saw that the only other way to protect humans from the darkness was by keeping the traveler on earth. rasputin would do this by damaging the traveler so it wouldn't be able to leave. forcing the traveler to fall into survival mode and create an army of light wielding warriors to protect it. this would mean that the traveler didn't sacrifice it self to save humanity, it would mean it is using us for self preservation. all in all the warmind did complete its task in protecting humanity.
