Hey everyone! Hope you enjoyed today's video! Thought this cutscene concept was very interesting and wanted to share it with you. Links to ilya's site is above in the description. Also.. what Destiny secrets would you like me to discuss in future videos? Thanks for watching! <3

Adeptus Astartes · May 31, 2019 at 6:57 am

Is it possible that Rasputin used the concept of Gaia when referring to "The gardener"? Nurturing and all that yes I can see the connection there but Gaia or mother earth seems to make more sense but not in its original way.

The traveler is like a mother birthing life wherever it goes (the concept of Gaia being the mother of earth whom brought about all life on our planet), if there was actually or is actually an entity inside the traveler itself? Then perhaps its more akin to Gaia than simply being basic traits of a mother but rather being THE mother and perhaps she creative the traveler as her mode of travel across the stars but is linked to it so much that they basically became one and became the same thing?

So many questions 0.o

Tracey Jacobsen · May 31, 2019 at 6:57 am

What if every time the traveler cracks its actually opening like an egg? We see only the travelers shell and even the shell holds the power of the light and inside there is a figure of some sort that is slowly being reveled?

Another thing is the speaker… he dies off just like that almost without a warning or a sign until you see him just dead on the floor… no face reveal no last words no nothing… i feel like there maybe something hidden about him to do with the light…

Brian Russell · May 31, 2019 at 6:57 am

The darkness is the mom. The child of light is the traveler. A child born of darkness, born into light.

JakeJ ScorcH · May 31, 2019 at 6:57 am

Maybe the stranger from d1 is still relevant

Michelle Grover · May 31, 2019 at 6:57 am

I bet the woman isn’t a human,she is a Ahamkara.

edoge183 · May 31, 2019 at 6:57 am

That was trippy

Devin McFarland · May 31, 2019 at 6:57 am

I know I'm essentially a year late but I'll still throw this out there, if the Traveller is indeed just a vessel for a being of Light, maybe those triangle ships are the reverse, a vessel housing beings of pure "Darkness". It would explain those strange creatures the Drifter and his crew found.

Xomus Demonium · May 31, 2019 at 6:57 am

man that opening cinematic would've beeeeen sweeeeeeeet

Peculiar Penguin · May 31, 2019 at 6:57 am

IT nos de wey.

Svt Super veloce · May 31, 2019 at 6:57 am

It makes me wonder, very nice vid! You rock dude

Will Pettingill · May 31, 2019 at 6:57 am

You know now that I think about it makes perfect sense to The Travelers female. It goes around f**** everyone and. It's been responsible for the devastation of many species

DejaVu64 · May 31, 2019 at 6:57 am

That cut scene was badass…

ollieawsome · May 31, 2019 at 6:57 am

I think, but have no evidence, that the Gardener could be a precursor AI to rasputin. This AI would have been the main control nexus of SIVA which, in theory, could accomplish the travelers trasformative and resurective capabilities. It also stands to reason that like the Vex an AI could time travel had it achieved singularity.

Irrelevant · May 31, 2019 at 6:57 am

This may not make sense but here me out, since Mara Sov has her own Throne World the God potentially inside The Traveler might have her own Throne World inside The Traveler.

Hircine · May 31, 2019 at 6:57 am

Maybe if they focused more on the lore and story for destiny instead of the bullshit ways they could make money recycling assets for half assed dlc plots. Destiny is nothing but a cash grab scheme. Destiny 2 is literally pay 2 win.

Golden Queen · May 31, 2019 at 6:57 am

What if the Garden is a trap? XD y’all think it’s a chick, but it was a dude all along.

Trainerr Red · May 31, 2019 at 6:57 am

I bet the traveler will open and a giant head will say "SHOW WHAT YOU GOT!"

Casey Bledsoe · May 31, 2019 at 6:57 am

I wonder if that is who the Awoken refer to as "The Mother"

Brian Quinn · May 31, 2019 at 6:57 am

What if the Traveler is actually Rasputin from the future. I really don't have direct evidence for this but you could infer this from what we do know. 1. Rasputin's prime goal (now/post warmind dlc) is to protect humanity on his own terms. 2. In order to achieve his goal, he entrusts the guardians with access to some of his weapons and Intel (limited access to intel and only on his terms). 3. Ana Bray has been inputing commends and code changes/overrides into Rasputin's core code thereby adding qualities of the nurturer and motherly protector. 4. Rasputin has a desire to evolve (in a way) in order to better fulfill his goals. 5. The traveler has chosen to protect humanity for unknown reasons. So, putting this all together, What if in his pursuit to to evolve in order to fulfill his goals, Rasputin developed a way to become mobile like the traveler (getting broken into all the time is a huge security issue). Im only assuming this, but if humanity was somehow wiped out in an alternate timeline maybe Rasputin used this mobility and eventually came across the the primal Light and was able to absorb it or become one with it in the future. And then travel to the past in order to prevent humanity's downfall as the traveler. I know this has some circular reasoning here but time travel theories are difficult to understand and explain.

Warning: Spoilers (Mostly speculation with some grimiore to back it up)

When Zavala says "We cannot trust the Traveler" it is clearly because he has access to the grimiore. Bray is being manipulated by Rasputin simply to further his goals, and he used the Guardians to defeat the physical incarnation of Xol. In my opinion, Rasputin is going to use Sword Logic to carve his own realm of the Ascendant Plane, and when Xol has used us to successfully defeat Savathun, and has taken her place, Rasputin will take his.
Clearly, the Valkyrie and the Warsats were never going to be enough to damage the Darkness. I doubt they could even have damaged Oryx's ship (As the Queen, who is powerful in the Sword Logic in her own right, with aid of her techions, was unable to do so)
It seems, following Sword Logic, that
IT >>> Oryx > Savathun > Worm Gods >/=Xivu Arath
Now that Savathun has used Quria to simulate Oryx, and has control of his Taken army, she is using a "Battery" of sorts, in the form of the Blind Well and Dreaming City, which is stuck in a time loop from killing Riven (His Last Wish) to essentially give her an unlimited charge of darkness energy.

So soon, Savathun will be greater than Oryx ever could have been, due to her cunning. Her Ascendant Power is the power of being unable to understand her. She has a Vex Axis mind capable of simulating the Taken Power, and yet we all feed into her power day by day, grinding for better gear in the Dreaming City. Soon we will have to face her, whether in D2 Year 3, or in D3 itself. The raid will contain Quria, Mind of Savathun and us defeating Savathun in her Ascendant Plane, the only way to do so, is to Understand.

Great work…again, mate👍👍

Payton Cobb · May 31, 2019 at 6:57 am

One of the reasons i watch these videos is because I know nothin matter atleast not for long. When im high I think if all life was lost on earth for some reason and noone would kno anything bout us and if aliens was these videos it could remind them of places they have been or looks almost alike imagine making a game like destiny and makin a identical planet you didn't even know about. Idk I'm just high

Azur · May 31, 2019 at 6:57 am

Wait am I seeing things??? Look at 7:05–7:11 look at the traveler on the top right you see 2 clouds move and what I see is an eye open up idk maybe I’m seeing things but it looks odd

garry jay · May 31, 2019 at 6:57 am

Just putting this out there, ships as well are referred to as shes

Big Chief · May 31, 2019 at 6:57 am

what's that Intro ost

Kyle Freitus · May 31, 2019 at 6:57 am

She could be an avatar for the Traveler…. a precursor to the Speaker who perished when the Traveler threw back the Darkness. Or… a scarier thought… the Darkness who’s messengers like the Worm Gods speak of the Traveler as a threat, also most mythologies portray beings of darkness and chaos as female…

Brandon Brummett · May 31, 2019 at 6:57 am

I understand this. But did you know the movie nun was to scary to put on an add so they put a painting of it into the add and talked for 5seconds about it

Devin J · May 31, 2019 at 6:57 am

What if the stranger is the traveler

Aiden Werni · May 31, 2019 at 6:57 am

samthedabbinman… What a Chad

BrassMonkey · May 31, 2019 at 6:57 am

Here is a comparison theory of the end of Independence Day Resurgence too the Traveler. The white AI computer kinda looks like the Traveler. And the aliens kinda resemble the darkness. Maybe they might have a connection underneath. Just a theory

Xeroav · May 31, 2019 at 6:57 am

What if Gaul didn’t die he was turned into light and is a traveler now

The410cam · May 31, 2019 at 6:57 am

In the end will this be related to God of War some how? Will bungie do a huge ending for this and halo by having a huge crossover event. Will they do a Netflix series to explain all this shit?

Rift Herald · May 31, 2019 at 6:57 am

Most likely she is apart of the original story that got scrapped before D1 official release.

Battle Brute · May 31, 2019 at 6:57 am

A buddy of mine remembers an interview with the devs from d1 where they asked the project lead if the traveler was evil and he said we will get to that when the time comes or something like that without thinking about it what i think maybe this will be crazy but uldren found out about this female god or whatever in the traveler and knows that its something that is being pursued by the darkness the said the raidboss was a she for the dreaming city on twitter in reply to a question so might be far fetched what if we kill uldren in the campaign or defeat him learn what he knows and decide that he is right for the greater good we need to destroy the traveler and from then we learn of even greater powers as calus has mentioned he knows about and then the next destiny or bug expansion will be fighting against the pyramid heads using new power. Super far fetched i know but if it goes this way i think it would be a pretty cool story

Calvin Str8te Fire · May 31, 2019 at 6:57 am

Directors cut was way better more things happening. Maybe the traveler affected the weather or story.

Calvin Str8te Fire · May 31, 2019 at 6:57 am

I just dont understand, did bungie not want to tell us the story of this universe or did they simply not want to make this game? Seems like it.

John Arch · May 31, 2019 at 6:57 am

still huge lore plot hole, why noone just fly up into the traveler, ik one card forget who said they went into it and it was a giant machine, but more people should have done it.

Ttv. The_LostCause28 · May 31, 2019 at 6:57 am

that "Deserty" planet is Mars for the record

High ground · May 31, 2019 at 6:57 am

What if the Traveller was a machine built by the vex? I mean the Red Legion themselves said the Traveller was a machine. And in early concepts, we saw something like the black garden is in the Traveller. And who we fight in the black garden? The Vex.

But why does the Traveller help us?
That’s because the Vex wanted that. Just imagine the trials of Osiris extension. Doesn’t Osiris use a machine built by the Vex to see possible future outcomes? And didn’t all the possible futures ended well for the Vex, until we showed up? Maybe that’s because how we can see in the whole Destiny storyline that our Ghost and Character is different than the others. Maybe our Ghost is broken. Remember. At the beginning of the Destiny 2 campaign, only we were attracted by the light of an broken peace of the Traveller. Imagine our Ghost comes from that peace and just dosen’t remember it, because it fell off after he was born.

So if the Vex had built the Traveller to help the humanity, make them predictable and we are just “broken” then their would be no way to predict events in wich we are involved.

But how could the Vex built a machine wich can change entire Planets? They don’t need to, we all ready saw that. They changed Merkur for their benefits, Venus was changed by the Traveller and wich species do we find on Venus? The Vex. Theirs species is also much higher evolved then ours. From the Grimmoire Cards, we actually know that the Vex could travel through time. (I’m not sure if this is 100% true but we also saw the Machine wich Osiris uses)

So that’s my theory. Correct me if you think I’m wrong.

iMoondesert · May 31, 2019 at 6:57 am

I want this goddess in the game

Sarnage7 Hau · May 31, 2019 at 6:57 am

Rasputin knows dae way
Do you know dae way

Dead memes

Jacen Miller · May 31, 2019 at 6:57 am

So if the traveler is a god incubator or a ship that said god can use to move around and like you said there may be more gods like the gardener so what if for the final Destiny game we go out and search for said gods for their help to defeat the darkness that to me would be cool

Robert Muggeridge · May 31, 2019 at 6:57 am

Wild speculation but depending how far in advanced the taken king was planned the female figure could be a disguised Taox, the proto-hive who betrayed oryx father. She went on to become a follower of the light and to fight against the emerging hive, what if she became the travellers emissary? She was never caught and oryx was still hunting for her.

RockyRavage · May 31, 2019 at 6:57 am

LOL the traveler is a God incubator and holds the Diadact.

Owl Jones · May 31, 2019 at 6:57 am

It's Elsie. Elsie is the gardender.

Mr Hansla · May 31, 2019 at 6:57 am

the woman looks like the emissary of the nine from the realm of the nine
