That was a very intriguing packraft; I wanted to know more so I went to their website to see the other variations. Frankly, I was a bit interested in the fishing or lake version. They seem to be reasonably priced.
– Storage inside the tube! I never thought of that, I thought the tube was necessary for the max. floatation and I expected to see you have to put your pack between the legs or behind your seat. Does the use of the tube for storage affect the load capacity or balance?
– Set up time – my guess for the first time it took 30 min or so? A person who has practised could probably set up in half that time.
– The bag to inflate vs. the micro-electrical pump vs. a foot pump; the micro pump seemed to be quite efficient.
– Entry/exit; how comfortable or easy was it for you?
– How much freeboard did you have? With you and your gear – how close were you to the 300 # capacity?
– Did you use the spray skirt on this?
– What was the total weight impact for you? Packraft + pump + paddle + PFD + boat safety kit? In Canada for example, kayaks still have to carry a minimal safety kit (PFD, whistle, heaving line, bailer/pump, flares).
– What was it like for heat transfer from you through the membrane to the water?

So much cool gear, to get for the "outdoors". Super smart kayak. I have not seen a paddle used as tarp "pole", yet. despite being in a "kayaking club" myself, but that is more like "plastic or glass fiber "solid" sea kayaks". But this one is more easy to bring along, for sure.
And. Not to teach you anything about cooking, obviously, but one can eat the "stem"(?), lower part of the broccoli too, no problem, just cut of the very lowest, dry part and chop it to pieces, it is actually equally delicious, I think at least, but of cause your pan was filled up already, so ????? Just for mentioning it. Not to start a "food fight", in any way. :o) Nice day, no matter what, and looking forward to the next one!!!!

Rikkity Rakk · July 31, 2019 at 8:37 am

Cool Kayak. 😎 Interesting idea to use the paddle as a tent pole.
And who needs an axe when you can cut wood by SMASHING IT AGAINST A HUGE ROCK! 😁

Like the way you use the coals for cooking. Simple nutritious food cooked in the open … no better taste. Great unit with lots of pluses and good to watch how it all comes together. Thanks for vlog part 1. Bushyboy Oz.

Good to see you again this time I was smart and cook a meal before I started watching and ate my lunch with you. That is a very interesting raft I like the internal storage option maybe you could do a review on that let us know what you think.

william kinnear · July 31, 2019 at 8:37 am

That is one handy boat can’t wait for the next one

Random Dude · July 31, 2019 at 8:37 am

How does that Kokopelli behave on larger lakes when it blows and the waves build up?

Mike Rogers · July 31, 2019 at 8:37 am

Awesome video, i love the no nonsense approach. Less talk more action. 👍🏻
