Dude, its disrespectful you put your dirty shoes on the seat in front. Where do you come from?

Mowana123 · May 30, 2019 at 9:43 pm

I remember all the controversial discussions in Berlin before the construction of the Holocaust Memorial: there is no way you can symbolize the true suffering, enough of the guilt for future German generations, etc. In the end, as a Berliner, I think it turned out pretty well. It's right beside of one of Berlin's most recognized sightseeing spots, the Brandenburg Gate. It symbolizes the cold efficiency of the murder of millions of people in its symmetry, and still it leaves you lost and disorientated when you walk through it. What is missing, in my opinion, by just walking trough it, is the individual life stories, however the information center at the Eastern edge makes up for it, and if you are there you should visit it.
My dad, born in 1936, grew up in Berlin, and one of the things he remembered from being a little boy was the day the Gestapo came to pick up the Jewish family living at the first floor in the apartment block he lived in. He had a secret crush on their oldest girl, because she had beautiful long hair. A Gestapo guy stood in front of the apartment entrance, stroked over his head, and said to him "What a good German boy you are". He was scared, because the Gestapo was bad news even if you had blonde hair and blue eyes. The next day, the beautiful girl was gone and her family. He had nightmares of that day until he passed away a few years ago.

Your journey to/into Berlin echoed mine completely when I went over the summer. We had a pretty dingy flat in a super hipster neighbourhood on the edge of the east. We went to checkpoint Charlie on my birthday and it's terrifying during the day – I thought we were going to get pickpocketed and there was someone trying to fight the soldiers you could take pictures with. It was the closest to a true tourist trap we saw.

Ausgang lame

AcresceNtRMoonT · May 30, 2019 at 9:43 pm

Honestly, I've forgotten my backpack at security, lost my passport in the airport several times and and am always in a panic in the hours leading up to my flight. Also Ryan Air sucks.

Maya Penna-Scheer · May 30, 2019 at 9:43 pm

those subtitles are SO BAD. how can i submit new ones?

XShipper · May 30, 2019 at 9:43 pm

Yeah, it's cool to see Jackie again. I got an autograph from her at the BERLINALE some years ago. 🤗

Idefix · May 30, 2019 at 9:43 pm

Bad internet? Welcome to Germany. Where good internet is still considered beyond any crossable frontiers.

Annie Gans · May 30, 2019 at 9:43 pm

"Oh, and now it's Jesus." 😂😂

Annie Gans · May 30, 2019 at 9:43 pm

Loved this!! Stumbled upon your vlog as I am travelling to Berlin on Saturday for like 10 days and have no idea what to do! I see you are off o Dresden from here, is that quite easy to get to? What are other surrounding cities around Berlin that are accessible via coach/train?

Mickey Fall · May 30, 2019 at 9:43 pm

Jordan Tomasone · May 30, 2019 at 9:43 pm

Haha I can totally relate! I lose at least 1 thing a week and always forget something that I need every day! I would like a normal brain too! Awesome vlog, looks like a great time! Keep up the great videos!

Alice Wolf · May 30, 2019 at 9:43 pm

seriously dude why cant you just go to the airport a bit earlier? you re stressing me out so much xD

WooDWorkeR · May 30, 2019 at 9:43 pm

There is nothing more typical then Döner, and to run 2 miles without finding a single Döner store is nearly impossible in Berlin.

Anna Borg Bokelund · May 30, 2019 at 9:43 pm

Hi, I've started making travel videos as well and would absolutely love it if you'd check it out – so far I have one from Guatemala and one from Berlin, more to come in the future. It'd mean the world to me, thanks in advance x

roachtoasties · May 30, 2019 at 9:43 pm

I'll be there next month. Yay for me. 🙂

Dachrinnensaeufer · May 30, 2019 at 9:43 pm

I hate people that put their dirty shoes on the seats. 🙁

contentedbuddha · May 30, 2019 at 9:43 pm

Take your shoes off the train bench, you dreckspatz!

Louisa Müller · May 30, 2019 at 9:43 pm

YOU PUT YOUR FEET ON THE SEATS AND DIDN'T GET SCREAMED AT????? HOW??

AlaskanMolly · May 30, 2019 at 9:43 pm

I went to Berlin today and it's so cool! Also, how did you not get yourself a döner? They are practically the best food in Germany.

The Indian Teenager · May 30, 2019 at 9:43 pm

Been there as a kid(5 years old).Evan's German accent is quite good.

Jamie Stradling · May 30, 2019 at 9:43 pm

The Westin Grand hotel where you had dinner is where I stayed when I went to Berlin!

Megan Doherty · May 30, 2019 at 9:43 pm

Does anyone know what hostel this is?

spudnic88 · May 30, 2019 at 9:43 pm

At 2:00 you put your dirty feet on the seat in a train. You are a dirty loser. Try that in some cities and you will get your head kicked in pig.

HP this is how HP · May 30, 2019 at 9:43 pm

At 6:05 it jumps back to when he was first getting off the first aeroplane, but still keeping the audio for the dinner with his friend. Is this happening to anyone else?

Dan Morgan · May 30, 2019 at 9:43 pm

vooes · May 30, 2019 at 9:43 pm
