hey guys welcome back to my channel today's video is an all inclusive hacks video I put together some tips and hacks that I noticed while traveling over this past last week that I was in Mexico I've been fortunate enough to have traveled on quite a few all-inclusive vacations in the last ten years or so and so I thought today that I would share with you my top tips for traveling to these destinations what to do what not to do etc my first tip is to tip in US dollars not in pesos and the reason for this is that I heard from reliable sources that pesos are sometimes difficult for people in Mexico so the staff that you are tipping to deposit into the bank I asked the staff when we were there this time they said they preferred US Dollars this was in Los Cabos and so I would advise if you're thinking of changing some money over before your trips that you do so into u.s. dollars or bring US dollars with you my second tip is to bring cool toys so we brought quite a few cool toys down this time for our first time and we brought beach balls three beach balls and then an inflatable volleyball net as well as a inner tube that looks like a unicorn and it was just a lot of fun like the kids loved the pole toys it added another dimension to playing around in the pool and it was also a conversation piece and a really good way to meet other people at the pool especially other kids so to connect our kids with other kids at the resort and it was just really easy to travel with as well because the pool toys obviously deflate to hardly anything and also it's kind of passe I believe to save your chairs with towels a lot of people don't like this practice but saving it with a pool toy seemed to be a way better way to do so nobody questions the inflatable unicorn on the chair and it was a really easy way to find our spot and sign our party as well my next tip is to bring straws if people in your party you straws drawers were actually banned in our resort I don't know if this is all over Mexico but we couldn't find any straws the only thing that we could find were stir sticks some people were using those straws and we brought the found one for our daughter but it would have been awesome if we had straws with us probably disposable straws because it's very difficult to actually clean anything in your room because of the water quality my next tip is to catch a sunrise a lot of people catch the party at night and don't catch the sunrise at an all-inclusive resort in Mexico but Mexico has some of the best sunrises in all of this world so it's definitely a good idea to make sure you get up set your alarm one day and get up to watch the sunrise because it's seriously breathtaking my next tip is to rethink excursions I know a lot of people like to pre booked their excursions because they lock in a good rate but I would say to rethink that for a few different reasons first of all the safety of the excursions is always questionable unless you really look into the companies providing these activities it's very unclear whether or not they are going to be safe and who is liable if something happens the second thing is that they are expensive and you're already paying for an all-inclusive vacation which includes a lot of activities there were quite a few activities not even advertised at the resort that we recently visited horseshoe games of volleyball games Beach yoga and so many different activities for the kids in the kids camp also when you are on your trip when you're actually in Mexico on your all inclusive there will be so many offerings at your resort if you want to go on an excursion when you get there you definitely will be able to so don't worry about missing out my next tip is to be aware of taxi companies my brother-in-law and sister-in-law were traveling with us and they did not have a shuttle booked with their trip it wasn't part of their package but it was part of ours and because of that I tried to get attacked a cab the taxis would only try to barter deals with them for a there and back they basically got scammed they were told that they were paying for two ways and when it came to the end of their trip nobody arrived for them and therefore they had to order a taxi again so just beware of the taxi schemes and scams especially at the airport my next tip is to ask the other guests at the resort what's good so if you see people when you first get there that look happy relaxed like they're having the best time ask them where the best restaurants are in the city if you want to go out or ask them what the best all-inclusive restaurant is to book ask them where the best pool is if they have any tips and tricks because often times people who have been there and are at the end of their stay will have all of the good information for you that kind of information can't be found anywhere else on the Internet otherwise its real-time its up-to-the-minute the next tip is to bring plastic bags we really got good use of the bags that we brought I brought garbage bags small garbage bags for our dirty clothes and I brought plastic bags for our bathing suits oftentimes your flight home will be in the afternoon or late morning and there's a lot of time to go to the pool or the beach beforehand so we did that and we had sandy wet bathing suits to bring home with us it was a great thing that I brought ziploc bags so that we could make sure that those didn't ruin our luggage on the way home my next tip is to just ask for an upgrade this is fairly straightforward but I think you'd be surprised at what you could achieve by just asking for an upgrade at check-in my brother-in-law did this and he got a full one-bedroom suite and so that was really nice because they were traveling with a baby and they didn't even know that was possible at an all-inclusive resort and we also asked for an upgrade and were upgraded to a better deluxe suite when we arrived on a great floor that overlooks the entire resort and we were very happy with our room so just by asking we received and I think it's just always a good idea to bring it forward it's never awkward it's always something that people ask and you shouldn't be ashamed to ask for that upgrade those are all the tips that I have for you today I hope that you guys enjoy this and got some value of it if you did please give it a thumbs up and you want to see more videos about my family please hit that subscribe button I'd love to have you join our community and I will see you guys in the next video thank you so much for stopping by I hope you have a great vacation if that's where you're headed

Hey everyone! Last week we traveled to Los Cabos and stayed at an all-inclusive resort. I've been fortunate to have stayed at quite a few different all-inclusive hotels all over Mexico, Cuba and Dominican Republic in the last 10 years or so and I have put together some tips and hacks for traveling. I hope you enjoy and please leave your favourite tips, I'd love to hear from you!

Lux Love · May 14, 2019 at 4:51 pm

What a disappointment when you said preferably plastic straws 😩🤦🏼‍♀️ it hurts my heart that people like you are so unaware of what one little straw can cause our planet. Please be more conscious

Kina M · May 14, 2019 at 4:51 pm

hello love your tips… can you let me know what travel agency you use? Or do you book directly with resort ? And does that Include all inclusive?

Sue M · May 14, 2019 at 4:51 pm

They got rid of disposable straws because it is too much garbage! Bring REUSABLE straws & cups.

Bettye's Cooking Channel · May 14, 2019 at 4:51 pm

Keto is the way to go.

Angie Villanueva · May 14, 2019 at 4:51 pm

What’s the proper way to ask for an upgrade on a room? I’m traveling to Cancun soon and I really wanted an ocean view but they didn’t have the option to choose and the travel agency just said to ask when we got there but what if they ask why we want an upgrade or what was wrong with our original room?

raycliunz · May 14, 2019 at 4:51 pm

What kind of tips are these? Straws were banned for a reason. Bring your own inflatable volleyball net? A bit inconsiderate of other guests who want to use the pool. Use it floatation device to reserve your beach chair; any slight wind blows your unicorn away

Hapa · May 14, 2019 at 4:51 pm

WRONG about the Pesos! Most Hotels wont change US dollars at reception. Usually Canadian is fine.

Jacqueline Cauvier · May 14, 2019 at 4:51 pm

I see footage from the grand memories in Mexico!!! I was there in January! Did you love it? We were there for a week and AVSOLUTELY LOVED IT 😍😍😍

mrLuckasman · May 14, 2019 at 4:51 pm

I always find it crazy how negative some people can be in the comments of simple videos like this one. Like come on it’s a tips video for vacations stop going for the jugular

Big Dog · May 14, 2019 at 4:51 pm

Paseos is what they prefer, I think you may have confused them.

Bondo McJefferson · May 14, 2019 at 4:51 pm

Dont tip pesos??? What? No way…plus us from the UK would lose out changing to US anyway. I always know 25 pesos is GBP£1 so it's not hard and no one complained getting tipped in pesos

David Abeyta · May 14, 2019 at 4:51 pm

Great Video….I Loved it so Much. I moved to Mexico 3 years ago and I Always Tip in U.S. Dollars…

Leslie · May 14, 2019 at 4:51 pm

Paying in pesos is cheaper if you live in the US so if your trying to save money use pesos

Tomas LeBlanc · May 14, 2019 at 4:51 pm

you could bring reusable straws, seems like a better idea

Estefania Zamora · May 14, 2019 at 4:51 pm

Leave your straws in your cowntry please!!!!!

Shaun Parkin · May 14, 2019 at 4:51 pm

Thank ya
Great information

Michelle J · May 14, 2019 at 4:51 pm

Please make a correction on the straws. Its irresponsible.

Jonathan Lacombe · May 14, 2019 at 4:51 pm

Haven't been around much if you think that Mexico has some of the best sunrises in the world…

Lucy _Bet · May 14, 2019 at 4:51 pm

Straws are not in use any more in Mexico because we want to avoid the harm they do to turtles and many ocean animals, please use straws you can wash and reuse many times. ❤

Tom Hill · May 14, 2019 at 4:51 pm

Use Pasos not dollars. You heard wrong. If you use us dollars you will be ripped off as the conversion rate is usually ridiculous. A menu in Paso's could be half the price of one in US dollars.

AmandaElizabeth · May 14, 2019 at 4:51 pm

Was the upgrade free??

Foxy Michelle · May 14, 2019 at 4:51 pm

Im very surprised by all the complaining comments. Lol Looks like a lot of miserable people stumbled across your video. Great video!

Don John · May 14, 2019 at 4:51 pm

Disposable straws??? Really???
You lost me there.
Have you ever asked yourself as to why no straws were available at the resort?
Seems very ignorant on your part.

Michael Nichols · May 14, 2019 at 4:51 pm

And I also hate guests who use towels or pool toys to secure a lounge chair for hours when they are not there….how inconsiderate..

Michael Nichols · May 14, 2019 at 4:51 pm

So if everyone brought your abundance of pool toys..what would that pool look like..and there would not be a pool for other guests to use….

Blu · May 14, 2019 at 4:51 pm

This woman has absolutely no idea what the F she is talking about.

Casandra Montiel · May 14, 2019 at 4:51 pm

This are terrible tips. Don’t do activities? Bring straws? Don’t tip pesos? Nonsense

Jodie Sargent · May 14, 2019 at 4:51 pm

Yeah, there’s a reason straws are banned at resorts so bringing your own disposable ones to a resort is kind of a d!ck move.

hotl1kefire · May 14, 2019 at 4:51 pm

Thanks for the great tips!

mrsweaver100 · May 14, 2019 at 4:51 pm

This had absolutely nothing to do with being at an all Inclusive resort. Straws were banned for a reason, why in the world are you suggesting people being trash to another country just to throw away? Holy selfish tourist.

eddie rizo · May 14, 2019 at 4:51 pm

completely wrong about tipping in usd, ALWAYS tip in pesos

Diane Keegan · May 14, 2019 at 4:51 pm

Thanks for the good tips – love the one about asking others what they have learned about the resort. Have to say though the music made it hard to focus on your words. Something with a smoother melody would have helped.
When I go to all-inclusive resorts, I bring a bit of dish soap and use bottled water to wash cups and reusable straws. Very easy and cups keep drinks cold for longer.

Ploy Srisung · May 14, 2019 at 4:51 pm

I really think it's irresponsible to encourage people to bring disposal straws and new plastic bags (zip locks and garbage bags). You could have brought sippy cup or reusable straws for drinks. I understand it's difficult to wash things with bottled water but don't you owe it to the environment to which you travel to and spend your time. In America we use over 500 million straws a day and most of those end up in the ocean. All of those straws cannot be recycled. I'm sure you could recycle your used shopping bags they come in all sizes. I urge you to not be so careless and to not promote carelessness to others!!

J R · May 14, 2019 at 4:51 pm

The music in the background is annoying and distracting

Keisha Ciego · May 14, 2019 at 4:51 pm

I’ve been to this hotel in Cabo it’s the Krystal hotel.. food is good at the restaurants but the night life sucks at this resort!

keke d · May 14, 2019 at 4:51 pm

Could you tell me where you booked from

Shawn Crary · May 14, 2019 at 4:51 pm

Staff prefer American $ because they hold on to them for when the exchange rate is higher…maximizing their tips!

gnayK · May 14, 2019 at 4:51 pm

I've never done an all inclusive resorts before .. But heard of it . my question is , is there a limit of what foods & drinks you can have like a list ? Is it only one plate person for each meal & drinks ( non – alcohol and alcohol ) ?

Jason Striation · May 14, 2019 at 4:51 pm

Waste of money💰
