10 MORE Secret Locations in World of Warcraft

Published by Darron Toy on

there is a lot of hidden places in world of warcraft in fact there's so many you can't even fit it into a single video since I made my last one I've gotten so many comments about places that I've missed and that's why here we are again with 10 more secret locations in world of warcraft number 10 old iron forge now I know what you're thinking NYX iam everyone knows about old iron forge I mean look at it the door is wide open yeah yeah okay I'm aware but not everybody knows about this place since well no one ever comes here anymore look at this place it's just empty old iron Forge is the caverns that stretch deep beneath iron forge mountain complete with a beautiful crystal ceiling as well as Magni Bronzebeard z' crystallized dead body the lore is that the mountain king decided to go down there and try to communicate with the earth i guess she was kind of pissed off it's a great place with a lot of really cool nooks and crannies to explore and i highly recommend checking it out if you've never taken the time to wander down this door right here number 9 Raven Holt Manor unless you started World of Warcraft just recently you should be aware of this place however I know there are plenty of people out there than aren't Raven Holt Manor is located in the altar accountants and it's home to an organization of elite assassins that helped Ratheon kill off the rest of the Black Dragonflight in Cataclysm beyond that there's not too much to say about these guys however only that they really hate the syndicate the reputation grind is a pain in the ass and this location used to serve as the quest destination for rogues in order to learn how to detect traps still the idea of a band of professional assassins living up in the mountains is really cool I guess Blizzard have been watching some of those mountaintop kung-fu movies when they designed this place oh and it also has a really cool little pond behind it number eight the druids retreat behind Moonglade moonglade is a zone that used to be really important to every single druid player across Azeroth but nowadays it's rarely visited unless you're on a role-playing server however there is a hidden place to be found just north of here that I don't think a lot of people know about if you take yourself over the mountains from the area you teleport to and you cast teleport moonglade what you'll find is a secluded seated area that offers an amazing view sometimes however your so-called secret spot getaway retreat might have an infestation of a dragon but you just got to get over it this is a place that I've always really enjoyed going to is it has a wonderful view it is a cozy little seat a neat rock formation that instantly brings to mind shondo Stormrage teaching three students and well not many people come here except for me in this damn dragon number seven the tauren Hut above stonetalon mountains' chances are that if you've taken a flight from stonetalon mountains to ashenvale you've probably seen the tiny torn hut that exists high up in the mountains it's a quiet place a special place but it's abandoned you see many years ago a tiny Tauron tribe called the cliff walkers once lived here before they were attacked savagely by the lich king in his army of undead the small tribe of cliff walk errs fought against hundreds of thousands of scourge yet they proved no match once the Lich King summoned his greatest and secret weapon quarry Stockton quarry told the tour in the patch 6.2 would be the last patch of warlords of draenor and the tauren were so distraught that they couldn't muster the will to fight any longer allowing the lich king to defeat them and raise them all as Undead since then their single village Hut has been abandoned filled with nothing but ghosts of disappointment and of rage number 6 the cinematic location in Pandaria remember the mists of pandaria cinematic and how Jackie Chan beat the living crap that or can that human did at that one part this little wooden thing goes flying through the air after being knocked out of the orcs hand Jackie Chan catches it like a boss sticks it back where it was originally and it fixes it with that little humorous squeak yeah you remember well you can actually go to this place in Pandaria and if you right-click the squeaky wooden thing you will get an achievement called sort of funny right from there you can then enjoy the view as the artists in the cinematic Department really did an amazing job with recreating the scene from within the game big props to them for that definitely and I'm being dead serious go check this location out if you can stomach going back to Pandaria and don't worry you can get there by flying or by ground mount if necessary it's cool place go check it out eat number five the hidden lake above Darnassus have you ever been to Darnassus before you probably not but if you ever do happen to go there on the off chance there is a hidden location just above the city that not many people seem to know about above the city is a lake complete with an adorable little dock you see it right there that's it this is a great role play spot for people on role play realms did I rarely ever see anybody here but then again it is Darnassus so I guess you know what can I expect I guess I just really enjoyed this idea of this big ol lake up within this giant tree that's so big you can even row a boat across it that's pretty cool if you ever want a really nice tranquil spot to sit in while you rage and trade chat this is the place for you and if you want a really nice place to do some erotic role-playing that nobody will bother you at this is where you go number four the dunmer Oh tree you ever been to the mountains that are in the western reaches of dunmer oh well probably not and there's no really reason to go there but if you do you'll find a nice little surprise waiting for you what you'll see is a campsite that's under attacked by a group of bears with its residents hiding up a tree in terror it's discovery and Cataclysm most people refer to this place as the dunmer Oh tree I remember the first time I found this place and I thought it was so cool not just because of this humorous little bear attack on some dwarves but because this part of dun Moreau had a complete forest in it void of aggressive mobs and other NPCs it's just really cool to find places like this in my opinion as it's more of just an open area that serves no real purpose within the questing system I just look at it it's just a lush snowy forest I love it I can also add that ever since I came here to record footage for this list I've been thinking about making some sort of dwarven adventure machinima video explaining how these two fellows got up to be in that tree and what the heck they were doing out here if and when I do make it I'll put a link in the description number three the former islands south of tenaris in the last secret places video I did one of the places I showcased was the underwater gnome village just off the coast of tenaris but did you know that secretly far south from tenaris southern coast there was another hidden gnome village at least for a while now before you ask no there are no NPCs in this village but I really would have loved to have seen some sort of gnomish beach party going on here this place would have been perfect for that sort of thing but oh well now the reason why I referred to this place as the former islands south of tenaris is because these islands no longer exist within the game when Cataclysm was released they were removed for unknown reasons but for those of us who played the game before that time this is a secret location we'll always remember and as for why Blizzard might have removed them I have no clue number two the hidden elven ruins north of the plague lands now unfortunately I don't think there's a way to reach this location any longer but I have seen a few videos that show how to get there on earlier versions of WoW but I'm not sure if they work feel free to try some wall jumping and pathfinding because this one's a doozy now if you're unaware there's actually a bunch of highborn ruins just along the coast and north of the Plaguelands now originally you could swim here from Tirisfal glades but since Cataclysm Blizzard has put up a ton of invisible walls to prevent you from seeing these oh so game-breaking structures it's a cool area though and if you're wondering how I'm able to run around here to get these shots it's just because of the fact I'm on my own personal server for machinima making I always liked going here back in the day as it was kind of a retreat for my undead mage character but I guess just those days have passed and I'll have to find a new hittin place maybe in Draenor to afk and if you know such a place like that even exists which of course leads me into number one the land of what could have been now before I say anything let me be very clear about something if you log off here it may cause your character to become stuck and you'll need a GM to unstuck your toon visit this place at your own risk just wanted to say that anyway let's get started originally referred to as ice island off the coast of Draenor if you find these flying fish off the southern coast of Shadowmoon Valley and you run south east dish you'll find a strip of unfitted water that will save you at literally the last second from there follow the strip and you'll reach a big empty landmass that I personally have dubbed the land of what could have been at Blizzcon Blizzard talked a lot about feral on and a little bit about the ogre continent south of Draenor that we might see some content within but unfortunately we're not going to get to see any of these things which is a real shame to me it's especially unfortunate because by the existence of this empty space you can see that Blizzard might have seriously been wanting to create more land mass for Draenor it's sadly any ideas they might have had clearly been scrapped nonetheless it's a really cool secret area to find and if you want a cool spot to afk in or just to hide from your annoying guild mates this is where you gotta go hey guys thanks for watching and I hope you enjoyed the video now obviously there are a ton of other secret places across allow so maybe a couple months down the road I can make another video like this showing you even more stuff that's hidden on or you know off the beaten path within the game if you know of any cool locations I haven't mentioned yet in these two videos leave a comment below and I'll check out the area so with all that said leave a like if you enjoyed the video blah blah you've heard it all before from everybody but I'll see you guys really soon

RIP the world tree

Victthequick · July 31, 2019 at 8:08 am

Back in my day we glitched into under iron forge with a d polymorph duel

EraseDiskNow · July 31, 2019 at 8:08 am

Let's be honest. If someone is in ironforge, they're either a Dark Iron Dwarf who mole machined there on accident or are upgrading their heirlooms/getting more heirlooms.

Nathaniel Bellmore · July 31, 2019 at 8:08 am

I remember getting to #2 on my first blood elf, it was a long journey

Nathaniel Bellmore · July 31, 2019 at 8:08 am

First video was cool seeing things theyve added since I've quit but starting this video out with old ironforge is giving me the dose of nostalgia I'm craving

dzyik · July 31, 2019 at 8:08 am

Brian Corvello · July 31, 2019 at 8:08 am

The achievement is actually called "Restore Balance".

Lisa winn · July 31, 2019 at 8:08 am

There is a small hidden dwarven settlement in the mountains behind where you do the mine quests to gather tools and kill living fossils as you come out of the wetlands up past Dun Moroh you find it by stopping at a small outpost that will be on the hillside on the left as you head out into open land towards the coast and the boat to Theremore  and past the swamps populated by raptors and flying north over the mine. it's a peaceful, quiet place to hide if you need a few minutes peace. I found it randomly exploring in a moment of boredom. There are npc's there but they do nothing.

The Gameskút · July 31, 2019 at 8:08 am

darnassus……. hmm, NOT ANYMORE!

CandyKoRn · July 31, 2019 at 8:08 am

RIP Darnassus…

Levicopter · July 31, 2019 at 8:08 am

you can still get to 9:00 on retail 🙂 I flew there recently out of boredom, starting at tirisfall glades and just flying along the shore. at one point my toon started to do the "flying backwards" animation but she was still flying forward. I was even able to get into stratholme and explore that and into the previous Ghostlands

cofside · July 31, 2019 at 8:08 am

do you know about the wintergrasp room , the mystical room in the tower

uNpOpuLArOpInION69 · July 31, 2019 at 8:08 am

How many dwarves are up in the trees? It might be a hobbit reference, with the 13 dwarves, gandalf and Bilbo in the trees

Happykatt · July 31, 2019 at 8:08 am

About number 2

You can get there easily, if you are in the present Tirisfal Glades, you can fly (above the water) from Scarlet monestary to Quel Thalas.

Member_Barry · July 31, 2019 at 8:08 am

I remember when we were raiding alliance cities, we would group up at that lake above darnassus, oh the memories.

TAYLOR LE · July 31, 2019 at 8:08 am

Dyadya Rusya · July 31, 2019 at 8:08 am

Shane Kuchler · July 31, 2019 at 8:08 am

The Ancestor · July 31, 2019 at 8:08 am

You can still get to the ruins north of Plaguelands. You either have to be a rogue with grappling hook or a warlock with the legendary pants that give you an instant gateway.

Basically, it's a little fucky, but if you are on a flying mount and are flying, you can grapple/gateway behind the invisible walls. However, it seems that you get dismounted when you go over the wall, so you might have to find a little opening in between the mountains to squeeze into the northern sea.

The spot left of the gates to Ghostlands worked for me. There are also some little weird oddities you can find there too!

Andre Ransom · July 31, 2019 at 8:08 am

I am in the horn I know nothing about old iron of orange

tarianaamelia · July 31, 2019 at 8:08 am

Wasn't #2 reachable through the Stratholme Dungeon? There is a trick to get there. 🙂

grnman86 · July 31, 2019 at 8:08 am

I was half hoping that damn dragon would have shown up at the Darnassus lake

Asher · July 31, 2019 at 8:08 am

I was at #2 yesterday! There’s a secret glitch that I absolutely abuse to get there and there’s a lot more to see besides that one spot

Kalt Draconis · July 31, 2019 at 8:08 am

Hello. Pretty nice video, thanks for sharing !

Just for the record, about #2 elven ruins in Quel'Thalas (hidden area north of plaguelands and west of ghostlands), you still can get there.
All you need is a character with a blink-like spell (mage for instance), reach the hourly instance limit, and try and enter stratholme (main entry). Then when you face the invisible wall due to instance limit, just blink through it and you'll get to the uninstantiated Stratholm. Then, go to slaughter place (the grid separating the two instances of stratholm doesn't exist anymore), enter the grid leading to green portal and get to the untextured naxxramas location. Then, going through walls without hitboxes, you'll get to these ruins 🙂
